103 KU and getting 1-12 NBC

Reason why I was having bad connection with KU on 103 crack in the lnbf maybe caused by Heat? :)

That's just the cover; but if it lets water in performance will degrade. If you hold it with the feed horn pointing down does water come out of the crack? LNBF might still be usable, just let the feedhorn dry out and maybe a little "silly-cone" over the crack to re-seal.

At least at my QTH in NM the two transponders that carry the NC 1-12 channels are touchy and I lose them at the drop of a hat. I would say that a crack in a weather cover would not cause you the lose that service, but this is FTA...anything can and will happen -
 
The extreme heat in this area has caused the NC-1 through 8 to be touchy during the day here on the 90cm. Even more so the NBC MUX channels. Things seem to get better at night-
