I added Hulu Live today so that I could get ACC Network. I will cancel before the free 7-day trial ends. If ACCN still isn't on Dish, I'll then do a free trial from one of the other streaming services.

Well, according to several other forums the ACCN is up and running on most other carriers. Granted, nothing of any real importance for a while, but DISH needs to get on board before the good stuff starts. LET'S GET IT DONE, YOU HAVE LOTS OF CUSTOMERS THAT WANT THIS.

Yeah, there are, but there are cost implications. With DISH shedding subscribers, it's an unlikely sell until ESPN contract is up for renewal.

I logged into the espn app with my MIL's directv account since ACCN is available on there. Apparently their deal does not include streaming. So I may be going to youtube tv or Hulu live for a little while.

I've confirmed that Spectrum will pay my cancellation fee if I leave Dish. I'm going to cycle through free trials with the streaming services to give Dish more time to reach a deal.

Great news... It is just sad they won't get the ball rolling for a channel that is likely more requested than any other they have or don't have.

Only like that now. When Pac12 was launching, or the WWEN... same thing. People want what they don’t have, and forget about it after the glam runs out. People did and said the same thing when dish picked up Pac12 and Directv did not. Directv still doesn’t have it and they are just fine without it.

I have no doubt but they will lose me over it and many other customers. This is one channel I have no choice but to chase after.
I do think they will get the channel but not having it at launch time and delaying for whatever reason isn't good.
Got a week for the CFB games to start so we shall see.

I was pretty optimistic that Dish was going to get a deal done and that ACC Network was going to be combined in the FX, FXX, National Geographic deal. In the end I still think they will carry ACC Network, but now that ACC Network has launched they have changed their marketing a little bit. They have been saying for the past couple of years that Dish was the only place to get every major D1 college football game - and would list out the power 5 conference.

Not so anymore. If you go to their football website: Home for Football | MyDISH | DISH Customer Support, it only says "Get every major college football game" which is quite a bit different than every major D1 college football game and being able to look up the teams schedules to see the Dish channel.

The Dish website is interesting when you go to the ACC Teams - Clemson Tigers Football Schedule for Watching on TV & Online | DISH - it says it is on the ACC Network but available on Dish through the APP.

So with no ACC Network, you can see the marketing has changed. The other thing, and this could just be part of the design focusing on the ESPN products, but on the football page they don't list the Big10 Network. It is listed on one spot on the MultiSport pack but nowhere on the Football page. Earlier this summer, the Big10 Network was listed on the football page. Makes me wonder if the Big10 contract is going to be up at some point in the near future.

I doubt Dish adds this channel. They are based in Colorado Buffaloes Pac12 territory. They'll think the same thing the other providers think about the Pac12 Network...it's not viable.

Time to add YouTube.TV :-(

That is the simplest, least logical answer. Successful business doesn’t make decisions in their personal opinions... cost/reward.

Why on earth would you think that? Do you know who owns ACC Network?
