I tried every version of the Dish Anywhere app for Android TV going back to last July. I loaded each one onto a memory stick and loaded manually via the USB port on my android TV box. In all, 4 different versions (2.4.9; 2.4.8; 2.3.8; 2.3.1), None worked with my Jetstream android TV box although the older versions seemed to work better. This looks like a bug with the APP.
If all else fails and you can't get it to work, many of us have had good success with Amazon's Firestick. They run $40 for the regular and $50 for the 4K version but are often put on sale.

I'm considering it. Are you running the Dish Anywhere App through Firestick or simply selecting your subscribed channels and activating each? I would prefer the same user experience I get n my Android phone. Let me know.

The Firestick is what I use (i have the 4K stick). Like most streaming devices you download the apps you want. So I DL'd the official Dish Anywhere app and followed instructions. When activating, you have to verify that you are a Dish customer yada yada yada, but once I did it even had my "Favorites" correct. It is slightly different than the app on my mobile, but it's easy and intuitive.

And the new YouTube app they just put up on the stick is marvelous.
