Thanks primestar31 for the TNAP setting. I don't use OpenVIX enough to recall the menu path, but I know that this user setting keeps perfect time when selected.

I'm quoting your post so Johnnynobody will see your post if he has you blocked...

Set your Time settings like this. This screen is from NA SDGr, but it's similar in other images.

RTC time, and NTP Cold Start need to be turned ON.

johnnynobody, In TNAP on 101w C-band, please do a Blind Scan >>> Transponder>>> Clear Before Scan. Once all TPs are logged, do a screen capture (with WebIF) of the logged Transponders and the Logged Service. Post like I did in post # 20 above.

Thanks, for the screen capture. I see that it logged only 17 transponders and missed some fat TPs as well. Not sure what image was used, but this isn't TNAP image (The North American Project).

Could you perform the transponder scan using TNAP so we can compare apples to apples? If there isn't something obvious, we can compare the details in the saved tmp .xml file.

Because the Weigel uses the same SID, symbol rate and PIDs, their services often require the service to be logged then the background scanning disabled (I've even had to change the SID), so not to auto update with the incorrect table from the adjacent (4MHZ spaced) transport stream next time the service is tuned. This is not an issue with authorized affiliate downlinks as the service parameters are manually entered for each service and commercial receivers do not auto update the service tables.

It is from TNAP. That's the way the image boots up. But, slot 1 is identified as SatDreamGr. Anyway, I've included scans from OpenPLi, OpenDroid, and OpenATV also.

Not how we shipped it...

SatdreamGR has either been installed or a user initiated update was performed while in the TNAP image (slot 1) causing an overwrite of the shipped TNAP image with the SatDreamGR image. You might be happier if you download TNAP and install the image in Slot 1 rather than run SatDreamGR.

I know that El Bandidio did a lot of custom programming to make the TNAP image superior in TP and service logging to that provided with the SatDreamGR experience.

I found a TNAP image at legitfta.com but I'm not going to register to d/l it.

Sorry, I attempted to post it for you, but it's too large and won't let me. It's 83.9 MB zipped...

Maybe I can post it to a free file share site, give me a bit.

Anyway, Brian will post a Dropbox link in the AM.

Yeah. I did an update and I had assumed that it was a TNAP upgrade. SatDreamGr were the update options and I assumed that's how the updates were done.

My latest osmio doesn't perform the way I believe it should perform:

TNAP and OpenVIX

No, starting in post #1 and repeated in other replies throughout this thread, you have indicated that the image was The North American Project.:facepalm

E2 images are not the same and will provide different experiences on the STB. These details are important! We all have been wasting time if not comparing apples to apples.

Will provide the TNAP image via Dropbox in a few hours....

No, TNAP does NOT provide updates.

See my reply to you back in April in another thread.

SatDreamGR on Edison OS MIO 4K
For the most part, I like this image. But, I found that it needs additional repositories so that I can install OpenVPN on it like I can with OpenVIX. I've heard that an update to the SatDreamGR image that'll include additional repositories.
johnnynobody your STB was shipped with The North American Project, which is a mod of the SatDreamGR image. The TNAP image does not provide automatic updates and will not have the the latest files from the SatDreamGR repositories.

You could install the SatDreamGR image in a multiboot slot if you wish to have the latest build and available frequent updates.

Well, it still doesn't address the issues that I posted at the beginning of THIS thread. At the time, I had only TNAP and OpenVix installed on my latest mio. TNAP provided updates from SatDreamGr and I installed the latest version (the SatDreamGr images show up when I select "Flash Image" from TNAP). And OpenVIX was replaced by OpenDroid and I added OpenPLi, and OpenATV. I don't really see why I'm being bashed over this. I'm just reporting my findings. Well, I'm done with this. It's not a big deal to me but apparently it's a problem to discuss this with others. Now I'm feeling like it's my time being wasted. People need to take a step back and try to consider how their posts will run people off because of their comments.

Huh, sorry about that! I run an uBlock Origin ad-blocker, and saw NOTHING except my file! I just Googled for free file sharing sites...

Anyway, IMO apparently there's no way to ever help this guy without him being on the defensive about everything.

Not bashing. Just frustrated to be wasting time in an attempt to replicate issues and provide tech support based on your incorrect information. Over 50 posts in this thread before we extract that your not using TNAP?

If I asked you to test your vehicle performance using premium gasoline and you provide multiple test results using diesel fuel instead and didn't indicate the fuel change, do you think that this might be a problem?

Do you not understand my frustration?

Many of us are running TNAP and not experiencing issues that you have been incorrectly associating with TNAP. Many of us have experienced the issues that you are reporting while using other images...

Maybe delete the past 55 posts and start over when running TNAP....
