Dish won't even answer their phones now / pissed football fans?

He has a right to get the channels he is paying for.

Obviously you don’t care about HBO and Sports, or you would dump dish also.

Even though pricing, packaging and programming are subject to change, this is not normal loosing over 20 channels in some cases.
I get HBO through Amazon Prime and I freely stream the Sports I watch, which are Sabres and Bills games - I don't get them on TV here anyway, and I watch Boxing/MMA with the DAZN app and Showtime. See, I couldn't watch MY sports teams, so I figured how to make it happen without crying about it. People in Western NY don't get Sabres games because Dish doesn't carry MSG, but they figured it out. Oh, and MY Fox affiliate, WYZZ is still on the air, so yeah, I'm good

I HATE chat...Text just does not equal the spoken word.
I want someone on the phone. Period.
I was able to get through to Dish on another matter today. I worked an end around using a phone number given to me by someone WAYYYYYYYYYY up the Dish flagpole.
Ive been with Dish for over 20 years.
I'm not happy losing channels, but I get it. I don't want to over pay for services. If Fox doesn't come back, so be it. I don't care. It will be an inconvenience for a couple weeks, then I'll just forget about it.
Chat is a crapshoot. I successfully set up my free OTA install on a chat. Later, I went on a chat to ask about any potential Redzone deals and I noticed that I was not welcomed by a person on that chat. Had to be a bot because I swear the responses were coming back to me instantly, almost before I clicked Send.

You are free to feel anyway you want. I simply stated the facts - internet term is up and price will rise - Comcast has offered sweetheart deals for two years - and well, maybe its the best deal....and at the end of two years when the rates go up, I can change again, or not. I have lots of choices.

DISH is fighting for survival, but if I don't get 2 of the 9 channels I watch, why should I be paying $130 a month? I can do one of the streamers, but then I blow my bandwidth cap with cable, so I need to figure that out with an unlimited data plan and see how that works.

And what is your problem - you don't like hearing that people are frustrated - so what? Don't read it. IS your life this miserable that this is your only outlet - to come here and criticize other posters? Apparently so.

I'm pretty sure that other than the Support people (and maybe Claude) not one person on here cares what you do or about these swan song posts - which on many forums, are prohibited. Personally, seeing a grown man throw a tantrum on a public forum over baseball games is pathetic, but that's just me. In approx. 13 months when your bill with Comcast has doubled, at least you'll get to see Baseball!

If the channel is not carried there is no payment due.

Don't forget that, assuming the negotiations are eventually successful, Dish will probably have to pay FOX retroactively for whatever rate is agreed to - what you are paying now would go to FOX not Dish. According to Dish, that was one of the offers they made to FOX to continue carriage during negotiations.

Like I said - when the internet term is up at the end of the month then that's the time to get the best deal. Play Comcast off the phone company and see how DISH resolves or fails to resolve its FS1 and RSN issues.

I have a plan and I am going to stick to it.

I think you should worry about yourself rather than me.

Here's an idea:

Do something

Clearly you are worried about all sorts of stuff that bears no relationship to you, whatsoever.

Perhaps you feel isolated and alone? Not sure, but the way you blast into a discussion like you are God's gift, criticize others, and pick fights maybe has something to do with it. Now I understand fully why people have shunned you.

What, me worry ?

At the end of the day, that's what it's all about. We all need to do what's right for ourselves. This is pay TV, not a life or death situation where our choice would impact whether someone lives or dies. If you were defending leaving a car crash that you just witnessed and not calling 911, because you needed to get to your routine dental cleaning on time, I'd be singing a different tune. But, this isn't such. So, do what's right for you.

Of course I don't have any financial or career interest in any television provider (cable, satellite, or streaming), so I have greater freedom to have my sentiments.
