OTA bypasses CBS AutoHop delay

I have iffy reception on our CBS station since it is locate about 25 miles south of Indy, and one of the reasons I have kept the locals option. A couple days ago, my wife and I played with antenna and got a "75". Last night I recorded Madame Secretary on the OTA channel and AutoHop was enabled. The Dish station recorded adhered to the CBS rule...no Autohop. Gonna try doing same tonight on the Fox station and see what happens. This may already be known to many of you, but this was the first time I became aware.

Yes KAB, next day AutoHop works with the OTA locals if that is what you are saying. In my St Louis DMA, CBS and FOX next day AutoHop does not work thru the DISH Sat locals. Presently, I have the DISH Sat locals package. I have PTAT turned on with ABC & NBC selected in the PTAT settings. For CBS & FOX I set OTA timers for our favored PTAT programs. The next day AutoHop works for all four PTAT channels. I already posted all this in this thread. Maybe I didn't word it too good. See post #73.

It sounds as if KAB had same night Auothop on last nights ota recording of Madam Secretary.

Yes a four tuner OTA adapter would be nice. I got real tired of dealing with conflicts when I dropped the DISH Sat locals. So I had the Sat locals turned back on. In my PTAT setting I have NBC & ABC channels set to record. So I set OTA PTAT timers for CBS & FOX. I have next day AutoHop for all four PTAT channels. No more conflicts. :biggrin
