I am thinking of getting rid of my 722 vip and going to the H3 with 2 wireless Joeys. Is Dishanywhere built in to the H3? I have the Sling adapter on my 722. Also is WIFI built in? I have a 211 with dvr in my basemant, will they let me keep that? I take that with me to my winter home. I do see some negative reviews once in awhile, will I have regrets?
Thanks for any help
Butch

I went from a 722 w/Sling Adapter (both of which are now useless and I can't even sell them) and two leased 612's to a Hopper 3 and 2 wired Joey 3's. The interface is pretty God-awful, missing some features we valued, and is in general a PITA to use. But just think of the 16 tuners you'll have! ;)

Oh, and the new voice remote is missing a lot of buttons and the backlight turns off just as you find where the button was relocated (if it exists at all) and go to press it.
Do people really care about a red recording light? Mine would be on 90% of the time if it had it.

It could be a scrolling marquee in 10" letters and I'd never see it since it's in my equipment closet. :D

I grew to prefer the Hopper interface over the ViP. Some Physicists disagree.... ;)

I like the Hopper interface better too. But I miss not being able to read temps, checking remote controls backup date/time, and no longer can adjust a timers event time.

You continue to rant about the God-awful interface. Have you noticed how many other users dislike it? Once you get used to it, it ain’t so bad! :)

When that backlight goes off on that 54 remote a slight jiggle of your hand will turn it right back on.!

Slight jiggle? SLIGHT JIGGLE! Probably all 3 of my 54's can sense my disdain and then refuse to work like yours do. I have to shake it furiously before it decides to turn the backlight back on! This is the case for all 3 of the damn things. I have gotten the backlight to come back on by setting it down and picking it back up again. But by that time I've lost track of the GD buttons again. Bah humbug! And the perverse combined power on/off button. Don't get me started. And the IR blaster is feeble on mine. With the older remotes, I could point it in any direction and it controlled the TV just fine. Not with the 54. A little off-axis and the TV doesn't respond.

Agree on the 40. Now that would be the perfect remote if it had a backlight that stayed on longer.

How have you guys NOT gained "button memory} on the 54 yet? I rarely ever look at it anymore
