Agreed,

Maybe Piper is not a real child, but I like her.

I'm also finding this Emily character quite interesting, would like to know more about her.

Also that little community was kinda creepy, I mean the place where Piper used to live, and it makes me wonder, how many more like her are out there?

Right, been keeping an eye on those numbers, and I don't like what I see, knowing that Bear is up to no good, just crouching and ready to jump...... on the weakest.....

No episode next Tuesday, next Episode Oct 29.

I will enjoy it while it lasts.

I was recalling what happened to me with The Event (NBC) when even after 22 episodes i.e. full season 1, it was cancelled,

I watched that last episode last night, and I remember, it seemed that even the writers reading the writing on the wall, for a lack of renewal, tried
to adjust the story, but it was so unbearable, for me at least.

Don't know if any of you guys followed that show, the aliens were going to invade earth, kill as many humans as possible, that was the plan, then
I think the writers seeing the end was near (of the show, not of planet Earth), kinda made a change.

So the aliens, went to plan B, which would not be "humane" they said.

Last few seconds of the show and the series as follows:

big commotion, everyone goes outside to look up at the sky and see what's going on....

Out of a portal kinda thing, comes another planet with it's own moon.

(I assumed Plan B was something like: Well, let's bring the whole planet over here)

President's wife and children look up at the new planet now next to Earth, kids ask mom:

What is that?

Mom (i.e President's wife-First Lady) says:

That's Home.

Screen goes black........

And that was it..... I was left with my jaw dropped, no season 2, never,....... That really sucks......

Anyway, hope I won't end up in similar situation with Emergence.....
 
Emergence returns tonight, not sure how many episodes we'll still be able to enjoy,

So....enjoy it while it lasts.....
 
IMO that was another great episode last night, and I'd say it certainly looks like Piper has super powers.

Now, to the bad news, ratings still coming down, especially in total viewers drastically

Hope someone slips the bear a Mickey,

ABC has now ordered full seasons for Mixed-ish and Stumptown and more episodes for Rookie, but Emergence is still on nothing for sure.

Yes, Like I predicted before this show began , it will be cancelled. That is why I didn't even start watching it. I have been burned so many times in the past from network tv I just don't get excited. The latest was when they took the Orville and made it only available on Hulu. I really liked that show the last two years on FOX, so of course they want to make you pay even more for what was free ota.

I honestly almost stopped watching and deleted the timer after the first 10 minutes of this episode. First, Benny walks while gunshot across the entire length of Long Island to reach Jo's house? Okay, so let's say we are supposed to assume he took an Uber or hitchhiked, that's at least 2 hours of him not getting treated with a bullet lodged in his chest and bleeding profusely without any bandaging. Then Jo, a small town sheriff, travels all the way to NYC to arrest the CEO of one of the world's biggest tech companies. On what planet would she have any kind of jurisdiction to do such a thing, especially without giving local law enforcement a heads up? Kindred doesn't need to go after people like her ex in retaliation; he just needs to sue her ass and her department so she at least loses her job.

This episode was very good, glad to see it back on ... until it goes off for the Christmas break, usually about 2 months (most shows) and we all lose interest again.

At least it hasn't turned into Manifest and a 100% soap opera ...
 
Next episode Nov 5 and then on Nov 19,

Yep, I have to agree, I myself lost interest in Manifest, when it had less and less of the supernatural/strange factor and more of the drama of relationships.

Same here ...

And its been off for sooo long now, I'm not sure if I will resume or not ...
Kinda depends on how much time I can spend watching TV at that time.

Or maybe I'll let it record and binge it later.

Why are they skipping a week ?

Not sure why Emergence is skipping a week, that will be the second time so far, and IMHO that does not help the show ratings wise, etc.

Regarding Manifest, I understand that it will be back for sure, but last time I checked about 3-4 weeks ago, there was a promo that just said

Coming Spring 2020 - No specific dates,

So when that one comes back I will give it one more chance, it's supposed to be good, if what I got from the trailer is correct,
they will go back to address what happened to their flight,

But if the show keeps focusing on who's chasing/sleeping with who,,,, I'll have to jump ship....

I agree, if they go back to what happened and how, I'm In ... otherwise, not.

That would be par for the course, the show that people are liking, gets cancelled while the one people think isn't as good (Manifest) continues.

I wouldn't jump the gun yet ....
Many things could happen ... including it being picked up by another network, or fans writing in and getting it renewed ... its happened before, or it could be picked up via a streaming company ... Netflix, Hulu, AP.

Also, if it was official, a quick Google search would have brought up it being cancelled, and as of right now, its showing nothing.

Agree totally with you, nothing official yet, so... my hope isn't dead yet.

If it's officially cancelled by ABC, I would agree with you and hope to have it continued in another platform, such as Netflix.

I still remember when old Cagney and Lacey show was cancelled, fans would write letters to the network and the network had to bring it back to life, actually twice.

So, in a nutshell, it is not officially dead, and if that is so, then it is still alive, this is not Schroedinger's cat who is both alive and dead at the same time.

Piper is still alive and kicking.
