Emergence

The website sends emails every other day and they persist they have been canceled. I don't where they got their info from but they would look foolish if they renewed it. I went to my browser too and couldn't find anything after I saw that the show was being cancelled on that website. I have been following this website for 3 years or so and they've been very reliable in their statements. For all of you who watch the program I hope they don't cancel the show. As said before you get into a program that you enjoy and the networks pull the rug from under you.

It surprises me that any remotely legitimate media outlet would unequivocally hold that a show's been cancelled without any kind of official statement from the network. But then again, not too many legitimate media outlet's would use language like, "the freshman drama has been brutally cancelled by ABC." For one, "has been" implies it's an official fait accompli (again, with no on-the-record confirmation).

Though Emergence may very well get cancelled, without an official announcement, there's still a chance that it can have a new life on Freeform or Hulu.

Just hope SYFY doesn't pick it up. They're notorious for dumping perfectly good shows.

In the most recent Time magazine they interview Steven King. He says, "The one network show I'm watching right now is called Emergence on ABC, and I don't think the ratings are really terrific and I'm scared to death they're going to cancel it."

Great job, ABC, you managed to scare the King of Scary!

ABC should pay attention ...
If Steven King tells you he's watching it and likes it ... you should know you got something worth hanging on to ...

As long as you continue the story.

Sure sounds like Stephen King is in suspense not knowing for sure if Emergence will air or not (it's been postponed already about 3 times).

And scared as heck, terrified with those ratings.

Can't blame him for that.

He tweets about the show, and at least ABC's Emergence tweet account has been interacting and responding his tweets.

Stephen King has a good relationship with ABC's parent company Disney. He's done a couple of shows now for Hulu, two seasons of Castle Rock and 11-22-63.

Major spoilers from last night's episode ahead...

That was an awful lot of blood for someone put into a headlock and forced to swallow a pill. But I guess Kindred was given the same thing those bodies in the morgue, that had been dissolved, were given.

Though I like the twist with Emily, I'm not sure if that actor can carry the show as the primary villain. Not to mention, why doesn't she just adopt a kid if she's unable or doesn't want to have one biologically, which as far as we know she still can?

I'm sure that would make much more sense, that is adopt a baby, instead of obsessing with a fancy robot that can malfunction at any time.

The really scary thing about this show are the ratings

The show returned with even poorer ratings after it was preempted for the third time.

It really doesn't help to air a show only twice a month.

I guess, with that, we will be lucky if we get a couple more episodes

That's it, I will enjoy my last 2 episodes of Emergence, or maybe just 1 if they decide to air this time a Charlie's Angels special or a Muppets special or whatever.....

So it will be replaced by a show about a lawyer, that should be interesting, sure, just what we need, a show about lawyers.....right
