yeah this is kinda what i was getting at. if you are letting xenforo host, you don't need ANY of that - CDN, security, DOS protection, etc. Xenforo handles all of that + the licensing for the software. I love the site as is, but....if i have to choose between having SG with no fluff vs not...

CSF was free. I don't know of anything freeware like CSF, if you do I am all ears. :D And as far as decline goes, our traffic is still amazing with a few million page views a month. But it appears most are researching things, not posting new questions.

Just a thought as costs are not going to get any cheaper and forums will continue their decline.

CSF was the best. Unfortunately nothing close to it.

Not dropping security software but looking into Open Source options.
