The Voom remote has a vcr button. It is located on the bottom left and is blue I think. The Voom remote would have the Voom logo on it.

Did you try #3 on the installer menu, aim off air antenna? You must type in the station RF#, then aim your antenna til it locks in. I think it locks in when you hit 85%.

They also have S-video,2 A\V and a coax output. If you buy one make sure it is activated. It will be useless unless it was in service when Voom went dark. I have 3 and they do a great job.

Make sure you bid on an activated box. Every so often you can find one in the classified ads on this site. Ebay would be the quickest way. You may get one for $40 but you will have to be patient.

You need to be able to have at least 80-85 signal strength to lock onto a channel. You may need to upgrade your antenna. How far from the tv towers are you? Check the Antenna web. I think it's www.antennaweb.org.

Hoopnoop, Is your DVR on the pioneer Tivo? I could do a manual time recording when I had Voom and wanted to record OTA. You had to trick the Tivo but I'm not exactly sure how I did it. I found out how to do it from a thread on this site. Do a Voom Tivo search and see what pops up. I will look also.

Glad everything worked out. The Voom receiver provides a very good quality picture. I have 3 of them going now.
