    Just got my Samsung Focus Windows Phone 7 today. I'm surprised to see there's already a DirecTV app for it. I haven't seen it on their website yet, but it works and looks great. Just an FYI if anyone else has or is planning on getting a WP7 device.

    The third installer to hook me up to DirecTV is here. I think the third time will be a charm. He has two HR24-500s and a H24-700. I showed him all of the locations and the two fish tape lines and was told no problem. I'll report back as we progress.

    I finally did it

    I took the plunge and scheduled an installation date for July 17. Getting two DVRs and noted they need to be HR24s or to reschedule for when they will be HR24s. Used bing cashback and should get about $40 back which covers my E* ETF.

    Watch DVR with no connection?

    I noticed that if I unplug the satellite connections from the back of the receiver I can still watch shows off of the DVR. Is there a time limit that this will work before the receiver won't do anything until I hook it back up? Or am I good to go for as long as I need?
