Satellite Antenna Made From Umbrella & Emergency Blanket

Umbrella antenna's (included the one from Titanium) are also "discussed" in this document: https://www.prutchi.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/The-EchoStar-RV-750-Antenna-by-N2QG.pdf The document also gives a link to Brian's topic about it here: Help Identify this Unique Folding Satellite Dish...

    Unable to pickup 101w

For a motorized setup, non-plumbness of the pole in the direction north/south is no problem at all. It's the non-plumbness east/west that causes problems: it reduces the range in which you can have a fit with the clarke belt. In your photo, it isn't shown in which direction of the pole you used...

The Coop Legacy - 63 Years in the Making

Ah! I just noticed that this is the proper link to the Bob Cooper website: www.bobcooper.tv (In the old link, in the picture of the first post, it has one "tv" too much.) Greetz, A33

    Receiver setup trouble

Not even vertical signals? I would expect they would come through, even with a 'power problem'. But I've no experience with them. Greetz, A33

    Help Needed:

Well, forget about this text of mine, then, for now. Let's try to check the elevation setting first. I'm a bit lost about your present elevation setting. In this picture, it seems to be about 36.7: However in this picture, it looks about 53.3 degrees, so the "complement" angle: In relation...

    Help Needed:

I had no more time to spend time behind the computer; I went to other tasks. Well yes, you can take that as a rough scale to set the elevation to about 36.7, or use the lines drawn by Titanium about the motor angle as an indication as to where about it should be. (These lines represent the...

    Help Needed:

It may be that you are disappointed a bit, now, but I'm not! During the process of setting up a motor step by step, it is not the case that you have to rate the success of a step by the fact if you have reception already after that step. Reception along the arc is the END result, after ALL the...

    Help Needed:

Good, that is reassuring a bit. I would have expected concrete 'tiles' (or how are these called), like on the street sidewalk/on the pavement, but I guess bags with stones can do as well. About your angle setup: This is absolutely correct. Also rearrange the nuts on screw B as they should...

    Help Needed:

An important question first: How many kilos/pounds/stones do you have at the ground frame of this setup, at the moment? This photo looks like much less than what would be needed, I guess. I won't post anything, till this is cleared up. Or you might soon be with a damaged dish.... Greetz, A33

No need to hang your apron. It is just a problem when some cooks want to cook via different procedures. So it is important to stick to one procedure, and to stick to the step that is actually at hand (here and now). Only when all the steps are done in the proper order, and with enough precision...

He read my posts, e.g. post #4 on this forum. He never gave his exact latitude and longitude values, though. And he did not seem to have read everything, because this is still a dead end: Titanium : You seem to have taken over, without reading my posts? I'll leave him to you, then...

    OTHER STAB HH-120 motor maintenance

OK, point taken. For my car, they also recommend refreshing oil every year, or 15,000 km or so. I always do it +10%, as I think this is overly precautious. I did lubricate my hoover motor recently though, as the sound became harsh. It might be over 20 years old, though. It's always the question...

    Help Needed:

Edit: here is my new text (I posted too soon): Well, you never really know, do you? Some people take on new nicknames at various forums ;-) . Your thread was closed by a staff member after another staff member mentioned a (non-sponsoring) satelliteshop again, after the former had said that he...

    Help Needed:

Well, not all did, and not always, I would say. To pick up where we got to: -You mentioned that the pole is 100% plumb, already. -Can you post pictures of the actual adapter plate, for your polar mount and offset dish? We got to the point that that probably must be set correctly, to the correct...

    OTHER STAB HH-120 motor maintenance

My STAB HH100 is at least as old, and I've never freshly greased it. Is there a specific reason that you want to re-grease it? Or do you just like fresh grease, before setting the motor up for the next 15 (or so) years? Greetz, A33

Edision Edison Mio Has No Signal

However, a 'tone switch' is different from a 'toneburst switch'. (Toneburst is sometimes called mini-diseqc, or simple diseqc.) That is missing in this tutorial, it seems? I haven't followed the rest of this thread though, so cannot give advice. Greetz, A33

Square dish spotted at motel in Kansas

Issue with receiving vertical channels on Titanium PLL Cband with V8 and V9 GTMedia receivers

Good plan. Though you did already insert extra 'splitters', with diodes in them, as a test; you wrote? You could also try to insert an extra long cable, and/or more diodes. Your GT does not have "increased voltage" as a possibility in the menu, that is switched ON?
