    Pretty sure i remember "listening" to the backhauls from NBC in 1995, even though they were scrambled.

    NBC's AFC telecasts on K1/K2 in the late 80s/early 90s. Dick Enberg, Don Criqui, Marv Albert, Charlie Jones, Jim Lampley, Mel Proctor, Joel Meyers, Drew Goodman, Jim Donovan . Bob Costas was in studio then with OJ and Parcells.

    I watched most of my NFL games on K1/K2 with some being SBS6.

    Not all CBS backhauls were VC-1B because i remember watching a backhaul of Vikings/Steelers that was ITC.

    Because i had a easier time finding NBC's backhauls of AFC games than i did for CBS's NFC games. Because CBS was VC-1B where was NBC was ITC.

    I've seen that called by Jim Simpson, and it isn't as exciting as it is with Bill King. For some reason, Simpson's call is underwhelming.

    I'm getting the Panthers /Vikings and Cowboys/Giants early then Eagles/Rams late. I don't think Charlotte gets the the Cowboys game since Panthers are at home on CBS, correct?

    Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville has blacked out Panthers games before, and no it wasn't because of a non-sellout, it was because they wanted to show the Falcons(at Seattle).

    The Oilers-Bills playoff game in January of 93. Enough said about that one, since it was the greatest comeback in NFL history. The Steelers-Chiefs and Packers-Lions game son Wild Card Satruday the next season were just as good.

    What i remember about that was the commissioner saying the game was postponed because there was no power in the stadium.

    I would remiss if i didn't mention the Bob Cole/Harry Neale team on HNIC. Dick Irvin and Scotty Bowman on Habs games back then would also be up there too. Don Wittman was on the west coast games then with different partners like John Garrett. Steve Armitage was doing some games too.

    When we had our dish, it came with VC, and we could HBO and the movie channels. I could get Broncos games on the Denver stations, and i couldn't really get a good signal ota, so the dish stayed put, even when we got cable.

    My grandparents used to watch Wide World Of Sports on Saturdays, but they also watched bowling.

    Agreed. Since the NBC games were always in the clear on satellite, those were the games i watched. Enberg, Criqui, Albert, Joel Meyers, Jim Donovan, Mel Proctor doing those games. Costas was in the studio too back then.

    Most of my NFL games were NBC, but sometimes they'd use SBS6 for backhauls. K1 or K2 though were most likely.

    Personally, i liked NBC's graphics better than CBS's. For some reason, they had better looking graphics.

    Sometimes, news anchors or sports announcers getting mad was worth having a dish. Like for example news anchors didn't like the way they looked on certain monitors, so they would come in to the control room and ask to adjust the camera black, contrast, chroma levels, etc. That could be funny.

    I used to watch NASCAR too, but sometimes it was the NFL instead.

    Switching back and forth between the Texas Arkansas game from ABC and the Michigan Iowa game from CBS on my big dish in 1985. I can't remember who did the Longhorns-Razorbacks game, but i do remember Brent Musburger doing the Wolverines-Hawkeyes game. It wans't Keith Jackson on the ABC game...
