It seems by the vastly improved PQ that Voom has gone back to the old encoders to ride the rest of the trip out. I wonder if they were able to return the harmonic ones and get their money back.

i tried watching this movie on max hd west but the macroblocking is just horrible it looks like the screen is full of little boxes. Voom has to get this stuff straightened out!

Anybody notice that this channel has gotten a lot better lately. Its one my favorite channels. I find myself watching all the new series- Moto Pig, Drive, Rampage etc. I just wanted to know what others think about it?

Its pouring today in NYC. Previously this kind of rain knocked my bird out, but today even with this downpour my sat signal is still 87-89 , just slighlty down from the usual 96.

i have a dish 600 connected through component and voom through dvi. I cant help to notice that dish has slighly better PQ, anybody else notice this?

Maybe im crazy, but does anybody else see overscanning with their voom box. I have a kv34xbr800 and with voom there is some overscan while the same channel with my dish6000 is fine. Is this something unique to me or are other people noticing this also.

How many hd channels by 2/29/04?? The reference to 39 hd channels by 2/29/04 has been taken down everywhere, now it states over 30 hd channels, which is what we have right now, in my opinion dont expect any new hd channels soon. The only thing we might get is braho hd, ppv and of course encore...
