I would still replace the RG59 and balun before ordering a replacement. It will have to be done for the new install but you might not need the new antenna.

If you own the 612, then open it up and check the hard drive model. Shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement. I would search here.

If you are picking up Channel 6 from Philly, you are doing very well. I may have to look at this antenna to replace my CM 4221 which receives UHF and some VHF-Hi.

Go for the H3. You really won't miss the red recording light. ;) The PQ and speed improvements are well worth it.

Totally different animals. The HWS will blow your socks off compared to the 722K. The H3 is a another step above the HWS in speed. There is also a difference in PQ as well.

You would need to switch your LNB to a hybrid LNB and install a hybrid hub or add a DPH42 switch. The Hopper 2 (HWS) would only require the solo node be installed. If you want 4K, then you want the H3. The H3 is also much faster than the HWS.

The fewer connections the better. For a single 211z, you would only need a single cable from the dish to the receiver.

Have you tried connecting the antenna cable to your TV and scanning to see what your antenna can pick up?

You will still need a cable from the homerun to the dual tuner adapter at the H3. You cannot diplex with the H3 system.

They switched frequencies but had to use aux antennas as their new ones have not been installed yet. The time frame for the installation is still being worked out.

WMAR in Baltimore picked a wonderful time to go dark. They are currently broadcasting at reduced power on an aux antenna as they work on the repack. It is unknown when WMAR (or WBAL & WJZ) will have their new antenna(s) operational. So, viewers out in the outer suburbs are not receiving a...

They just went through the repack and are now broadcasting from aux antennas at reduced power. Not much hope of receiving them until they get their new antennas in place. All of them should be easily receivable for me at 45 miles from the towers. I was getting them well BEFORE the repack

I did a scan this morning and I have now LOST reception of WBAL, WJZ and WMAR as well as all their subchannels. I guess that I am now officially part of the Philly DMA instead of Baltimore.

Might have to look at upgrading a graphics card or two. ;)

So has the repack for the Baltimore market been pushed back or not? As far as I can tell, WBAL and WJZ have not moved to their new channel assignments.

Watch out for this. Wouldn't this further dilute the available bandwidth for TV broadcasts?
