    Recording 3D????

I'm returning to Comcast once more after almost 2 years with Dish. I have the 3400 HD DVR and my service will begin next week. I was told that I can record the 3D programs from the Comcast 24/7 3D or ESPN 3D channels? But that I could not record any VOD movies I purchase. Can anyone...

Two months with BB. 45 discs in my Queue, and the first 32 have Wait and have had this from the beginning so I have never gotten any of my most desired movies to watch. I had 2 discs for a $15 fee. The movie channels didn't offer anything new to me and the streaming (especially the Search...

logitech revue and $4 monthly integration fee

I realize that the Revue is just starting to ship from Dish but has anyone been able to eliminate the $4 monthly integration fee? Or actually found out how long the commitment is for? Thanks. I'm just coming back to Dish after 3-4 years with Comcast and have been catching up on forum...

Moto DCT 3412 vs. Moto DCH 3416 differences

I've been using the Moto DCT 3412 and just yesterday, checked with my local Comcast office and learned that they are now using the DCH 3416. I asked about differences and all they could tell me was that the newer DCH model has a cable card inside (and that it may not recognize the box with...

    pixilation-picture and sound breaking up

I never had a problem before but now, and ONLY in the evening, thee is continual breaking up of the picture and sound on all the HD channels. During the day, things are pefect. My house is on a hilltop with no trees or anything else near the dish. It is aimed at 61.5, through some hills a...

    leaving 211 on 24/7

Any problems associated with leaving 211 or any Dish receiver on 24/7 or is it better to keep the default timeout-put to sleep for inactivity? I usually keep my comcast and Dish receivers on 24/7 but never was aware of an auto standby mode before when I had my 6000 on 24/7. Shelly

    replacement 211 seems to work

A week ago, I started a thread about receiving both 61.5 and 129, thinking my upgrade to mpeg 4 VIP 211 included new 1000.2 dish. The installer, however, kept my current setup (dish 500 for 110,119 and dish 300 aimed at 61.5 with 2 sw-21 switches) and just gave me new 211. I had 7 freezes in...

dishes pointing at both 61.5 and 129?

I currently have dish pointed at 61.5 but have installation scheduled for later today for the transition to Mpeg 4. If the new dish points to 110, 119 and 129, and we keep the 61.5 as well, how do I control which hd sat (61.5 or 129) feed is being used at the time? I am interested because...

    lost DD 5.1

I hace two HD dvr's, each connected to a separate a/v sysem. I have had this setup for quite a while and always had the DD 5.1 audio. Using the digital optical audio output, I no longer get DD from either box. Both receivers indicate pcm audio from the optical connection. I have Dish hd as...

    caller id requirement

Is caller id really required for the 622 and the 211, as noted in their decriptions, or is simply keeping the receivers connected to the phone line enough? Obviuously, I do not at present have caller id. Shelly

    622 hd output question

I havde been subscribing to just the original hd pak plus the original 10 Voom channels with my 6000 receiver, getting most of my progrmming from Comcast. But my Comcast bill is now at $150/month and I'm considering switching to the HD platinum pak plus locals from Dish once again. (Although...

After six years of service, I have left BEV for good and have the original 6000 hd receiver boxed up. Any value for this? Shelly

Monterey Bay, CA Comcast comes through.

Our local Comcast has been providing Fox, NBC, and CBS high def networks + numerous otheer cable hd channels like InHd 1&2, Disc et al. But now ABC. this would have been the first year since the Superbowl was in hd that I could not get it. (Previously had BEV for ABC hd. but dropped them last...

    will 622 require two lines?

Wow! I have been away from the forum for about a month or so and there are changes galore. I still use the 6000 receiver for just the HD and Voom paks from Dish. I thought that I would just upgrade to the 211 but now, after living with 2 HD dvr's from Comcast, I would probably want to...

will 411 work with legacy dish?

My older system uses 2 dishes pointed at 61.5 and 110/119 combined with SW-21 switch to my 6000 receiver. I currently subscribe to only the HD package + Voom channels. If I get the 411 (or 211), will I have to upgrade any of my other equipment (lnb and switches)? Shelly

    need info on 411/211

Hi, I've been away from the forum since Voom went under but have reactivated my Dish account for just the HD package and the Voom 10. Still using a 6000 but now have new pj with hdmi and would like to get a new receiver with hdmi output. I do not want a dvr, however. Where can I find...

    comcast replaces wiring--no more tiling

The main cable feed (decades before Comcast came here) to our home was done in 1979 with a fairly thin coax. aI recently activated Comcast HD and got tons of picture breakups (tiling) on hd channels. ESPN was unwatchable. Also could not receive one of my local hd channels at all. Comcast...

    should I exchange my 6000 for 811?

I just returned to Dish (hd pak + Voom hd pak only), having left them for Voom when Voom began. I am using a 6000 receiver, which always gave me a picture that appeared "washed out" when compared to Directv (which I used to have), Voom and now Comcast HD. It still appears to be washed out...

no picture, sound only on hd pak

Just another story for you all. Called to reactivate my old 6000 receiver (inactive since Voom began) to add just the hd pak and the voom hd pak. Within 10 minutes, and two csr's, I was activated and my monthly charge would be $19.95 (includes $5 service fee for not having any other paks)...

does 811 work with legacy lnb's and sw-21 switch

I have 2 dishes pointed at 61.5 (Dish 300 + Voom 24" dish). I also have a Dish 500 pointed to 110/119. I have two outputs of the 300 + two outputs of the 500 going to 2 sw-21 switches, with output feeds into two rooms. This was my old Dish system with 6000 receivers. Will this setup...

    811 favorites question
