    I got to play with it last night and I am now seeing menus, the guide, and on screen graphics when using the sling. I was not getting this the other day. The menus are different on TV2 via the sling then they are on TV1. Very cool, its coming a long. I wonder when they are going to turn on...

    I notice a difference, my recordings now record. On the software which came out earlier this week nothing would record. I am missing my channel logos in the guide as well.

    VIP 922 coming my way...

    I have a 922 and to activate mine they wouldn't let me activate it on my home account, said I had to activate it as a showroom account. Had no problems getting it activated on the showroom account.

    Huge feature for Vip 922 Final Release

    I would like to see the 922 have an icon on the desktop for MLB.TV. Since its hooked up to the internet there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to watch MLB games on my 922.

    Nope if I hit the guide button the the remote the guide pops up on the screen and also on the sling screen. My understanding is that this wont be the case when they really start working on the Sling portion. They just got the TV2 portion working on the box with the last release.

    Sling is still working for me in the house, and also over the weekend I went to the dish.sling.com website and was able to add my 922 to my account and set recordings on my 922 plus was able to watch live video from my 922 via the website on my mac! Its coming along.

    Did anyone get the new software yet? I was playing with my 922 last night and found a number of bugs which were not listed in Leslie's document on the retailer website and am holding off sending them as I want to see if the new pending software fixes them first.

    VIP 922 Functions

    The new software has made a big difference in the operation of the unit. The guide is now speedy and I actually enjoy using this receiver now. Now only if they would get the Sling portion working so I could watch via the internet I would be happy.

    922 is up and running

    The port being used for the beta is a non standard Sling port 5101 instead of 5001. The reason for this is because they don't want to conflict with other Slingboxes that might be on the network, especially since at the moment you can not currently reconfigure the Sling features on the 922.

    No the Sling feature is not going to cost extra. They were very clear about this at Team Summit. They feel it will make a customer "sticky."
