One issue I have with the new tuner and it only happened a few times is if I tune to an ota channel it appears as lines in the picture. No audio and picture is unwatchable. If i then tune to a satellite channel and then go back to the same ota channel it fixes the issue. Anyone else experiencing...

I also wanted to add that for the years that I used the single dongle and I would use the guide or menu while tuned to an ota station I would receive constant breakups on the pic in pic ota station in the upper corner. It was very annoying. Since adding the new dongle things have been stable.

So I’d like to hear of people’s experience with the new tuner in comparison to the old single tuner. So far I’d say the new tuner is working better for me. Holding signal better, less breakups.

No. It’s been solid for me. As good as the old single tuner.

Just to give a quick update. The Airtv dongle is working great for me. On my most difficult channel I have yet to see one breakup. This is the same channel that the hdhomerun couldn’t tune. Up and down dropout. Same repeating pattern over and over and we were never able to figure it out. Not...

I’ve tested mine for 3 days and it has performed excellently. Need more time with it but so far so good. In my short time with it I’d say it’s every bit of good as the older single usb tuner. We will see as I’m fringe and have good and bad days. So far it’s working great.

In the three days that I have used it I gotten excellent results. Of course time will tell if it’s better than the old single usb tuner but so far so good. I’m pretty fringe and get dropouts on occasion but I need to test this over a longer period.

I still can’t watch ota on my Joeys unless I tune the hopper to an ota station. Been like this for a year. Frankly I am beyond ticked off at this point.

The questions is what will we run into trying to watch these weaker stations. More breakups? If it’s a weaker tuner then some of my stations might be unwatchable. I guess I will also give it a try.

So you do a channel scan with the single because it picks up more channels I assume. Then you plug in the dual tuner. Do you have more breakups using the new ota tuner?

Use a hopper with single tuner ota. Have had this issue for over one year. Reported 3 times including yesterday as the rep also filed a report and linked to this thread. If not fixed by the end of summer I will be looking for other options. I use ota a lot.

I like Dish and want to keep them but my god $17 for the 622 which I had for like 4 years now. Its not like I recently upgraded or anything. My contract is up so I might call them back and negotiate some discounts. Are they offering anything like -$10 a month?

Late to the game but noticed my bill has went up and looked into it. I have two Hd622s and they are now charging me $17 for the second one. That is total BS. Looking into other options.

Yet many on this site say that Voom had/has nothing to do with the loss of subscribers??? Voom was the best programming Dish has ever had. They are pretty lame now. Nothing to make them different and nothing to make them stand out.

Every hd channel should be included in the Turbo HD package especially the gold package. Of course minus hbo/starz/showtime. I subscribe to the 250 so I don't really care what happens to the turbo packages but looking at it from the outside they are ripping you guys off.

Yeah, this will be the last time I try to get anything "free" off of them.

Added the free promotion of hbo/starz last month and am on autopay. Last bill they charged me $13 less this bill they charged me $22 more. My bill normally around $108 is now $131. They said because of partial months and added taxes on the hbo/startz promotion??? Their system is really screwed...

Not impressed. I subscribe to the 250 package and get two TMC stations. Of course I don't get TMCEasthd. Crazy.
