    MLB Extra Innings Now Available

...and I know this question will eventually come up, so I will state the answer to it now. By comparison DirecTV and most cable providers also offer up to 80 games a week in HD. Most of the games in DirecTV do have dual live feeds.

    MLB Extra Innings Now Available

They said they would offer up to 80 games a week in HD. These are just games, not the feeds. I do not know how many dual feeds will be offered.

The Dodgers are going the way of the Lakers starting in 2014

What will end up happening is FSN will eventually die in LA, or the three SoCal FSN channels will eventually be combined into one. The difference between the Lakers channel and the Dodgers channel is that the Dodgers actually own this one. They have a hug marketing campaign set up, run by...

Those are the most popular shows on that channel AND some of the most popular shows on all of cable.

    Was DISH Robbed at CES?

Although Charlie is involved in way too many lawsuits and many of them are his fault, regardless of which side one is to take in the CBS and Dish suit, this is just a stupid move by CBS. In the long run this will just make Dish look like the good guys. If the reward is deserved, then the award...

Intel reportedly close to offering al a carte TV

If you can get any of the same channels you currently get with cable or satellite, I would be willing to bet you will end up paying more for the 20 channels you want vs the 200 you would get with cable or satellite.

Back when Dish had the "Stop feeding the pig" Advertisements, they weren't kidding.

To be honest I forgot all about that. But I'll take the credit for a good comeback even though I did not intend to do so. :p The cable company does use big satellite dishes to capture the feeds. During storms, they lose reception. It seems like their dishes are more vulnerable than the...

Back when Dish had the "Stop feeding the pig" Advertisements, they weren't kidding.

When we are at out second home in Mammoth I take my DirecTV up with me. We have a cable subscription on that place. Even during heavy snow storms I would not lose satellite signal, but we will often get a searching for signal message on the cable. BTW, heavy snow in the Sierras is actual...

Back when Dish had the "Stop feeding the pig" Advertisements, they weren't kidding.

Yep. That is why I ended up not going with FiOS when I was thinking of switching. Once I added up all of the fees I would end up paying more, even with the promotional discounts.

The advanced receiver fee is just the new name for HD and/or DVR HD Advanced receiver fee is $10 not $20 (It is $10 no matter how many receivers you have) - non promotional price DVR Advanced receiver fee is $8 (It is $8 no matter how many DVRs you have) - non promotional price In total for HD...

I cannot talk about my package here. :D

Back when Dish had the "Stop feeding the pig" Advertisements, they weren't kidding.

A little difficult to compare. DirecTV's Choice package is somewhere between Dish's Top 200 and Top 250. Depending on which channels you like, in order to get some of the same channels that are on Choice, you would have to increase your package to the Top 250 for $10 more/month after the...

    Dish Seen In DirecTV’s Orbit

Sirius still controlled it after the merger. So Sirius is to blame for ruining Sirius and XM.

    Dish Seen In DirecTV’s Orbit

Yet every bar and restaurant here in LA still has DirecTV, even though they cannot watch the Lakers. That is because DirecTV is the only carrier that carries every sports package, particularly ST.

    Dish Seen In DirecTV’s Orbit

It was Sirius that bought XM and it is still Sirius that runs it. So XM could not have ruined Sirius since they have no control over it. Even if both had control, most of the stations changed to Sirius stations, meaning it impacted XM more.

    Dish Seen In DirecTV’s Orbit

They weren't losing money. Their profits were lower than Dish, but both were still making money
