Cubs were on CSN+. Sox were on WCIU. For Thursday, Cus have a Day game on CSN, Sox are on CSN+ due to Bulls Playoff game.

If his cable provider is Comcast, he actually has to subscribe to the extended basic package to get CSN & CSN+. CSN+ HD is on ch 285, so a cable box is required, these channels are not in clear QAM. Probably looking at around $50/ month.

Usually the programming for these channels is taken from the FOX RSN's, which are on E*. If one of the RSN's is carrying the game, you may be able to get it by subscribing to to Sports Pack.
