    SiriusXM vs. Dish CD...who's listening?

    I'll take the Dish CD/Muzak channels any day. Sirius/XM is too much like terrestrial radio with many of the same songs over and over. But when I listen to music its either CD's, .wav files or sometimes even good old vinyl.

    I had it in SD all last season as well for no cost. I guess it remains to be seen if they catch it this year. I will be willing to pay for the multi sports pack if I have to though-that channel alone is worth it especially here in NFL purgatory of central Arkansas.

    Dish Network Holiday Music

    It's nice to have them but it's too bad they can't bother to carry the Muzak channels in stereo (again). The bandwidth for audio only streams in negligible. They really don't sound very good in mono and for that matter the Sirius channels don't either with the digital artifacts in the audio.

    Average signal strength of DISH 1000.4

    I'm in central Arkansas and the best I get is the upper 40's on 72 and 77 and mid 30's on 61.5. Rain fade isn't too bad though, considering the numbers.

    KETS Little Rock You'll have a lot easier time receiving KETS after the DTV transition. It is moving to a non directional signal with 26 kw on channel 7 from it's current 2 kw directional signal on channel 5. The coverage should be very solid at that point.
