TV Input Control from DISH Remote?

Most of the time yes. Placing the remote in tv mode by pressing the clear tv button once and letting go, the button should light up red and turn off and now the input button should work to change the source. When you press the tv button and it blinks then the sat button lights up green the...

Should I run a LAN Cable?

Having a wired connection is always the best recommended connection type due to it is the most stable and reliable internet connection. The joey gets internet through MOCA signal from the hopper. Once the hopper is internet connected it is able to share that IP address with any joeys connected...

311k receiver will not program UHF side of remote control 6.0

Why do that, the UHF on a 21.1 works, which makes me believe it is a pro band issue. The adapter is not needed and would be more of a nuisance in his case. Just needs some 6.3's or later(might as well get 21.1's since they likely cost the same or within pennies of eachother and has proven to...

311k receiver will not program UHF side of remote control 6.0

Yes the 311k is a re-manufactured, re-purposed 322 case... The UHF remote antenna on most every reciever is suppose to allow you to change tv1 to UHF but I'm not sure about the 311k. I don't think dish sells them anymore but have you thought about getting an IR-to-UHF Pro upgrade kit or a remote...

    Sling won't update!

Yes turn the receiver off, it will say "press select to watch tv" let it stay on that screen for a few min and you should see it state it is downloading the program guide. Once it is 100% complete press select and if your locals still do not show up you will have to call dish.

    Sling won't update!

You may need dish to reapply your new zip code and have another authorization hit sent... Also you can place the hoppers into standby to try and force a guide update.

On the 20.1 remote press and hold in the sat button until all mode buttons light up, press 1, #, and record. What's the status on the Hopper guide update?

The new "carbon UI" should be coming when dish releases the 4K joey along with the sydney and melbourne remotes is my guess.

    Team Summit Updates

That is correct... My guess it should work with the 20.0 and 20.1 remotes addressed to 1 with IR enabled in remote manager.

    Team Summit Updates

A wallaby is a small- or mid-sized marsupial, so it makes sense the "4K joey" a new product of the hopper family to be dubbed that.. Seems like the top guy of the marketing think tank is an Aussie?? Do you mean the 40.0 UHF remote?

4 Hoppers - Is DISH 1000+ the only single-dish option?

    Wireless Joey without Dish WAP

The WAP and wireless joeys do use 5 GHz. Using the wireless adapter and a regular joey is not a Dish supported installation method but people here have reported it works just fine for them.

Neverending issues with my Hopper and Joeys - Am I alone?

I think that cannot be turned off... With the hopper connected to the internet any show or movie that is available to watch in the on demand library will have that popup. Not likely but maybe they will add that option in a future update??
