Gotta love that Dish Network logic. Yes, you can record six channels but four of those are restricted to ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox. The Genie can record ANY five channels. If you want to record, for example, History Channel, A&E, and ESPN all at the same time, you're screwed with one Hopper.

Well, except the DirecTV Genie which has five tuners. The Hopper may have more storage space but I'd rather have five tuners with less space than two tuners (plus primetime) and more space. I've had times where I've needed more than two tuners but I've never filled up my Genie storage.

Actually, it's both. It is on and it is not not on.

From time to time, they do show alternate games in certain areas. Although they may be blacked out in your area, they are showing somewhere so they are not just wasting space.
