Years ago we were Dish subscribers who qualified for distant locals. Is that option no longer available or did I miss seeing it on their site??

teehar; I`m not clear on your post about the criteria for getting distants where no waiver is required. on the aar site. I put in my zip code 92539 and got the message congrats you qualify for distants. does that mean I don`t need aar to apply for the waivers?? also. my vip 211k has not been...

thanks to various forum members I`m getting my receiver up and running so I can order programming. in checking my system information I have L554 software. Can someone please tell me if this is the latest revision??

I recall that some time ago one could subscribe to locals only. I don`t see this option in checking their website. it now looks like the least expensive way to receive locals is thru the welcome package, unless I have missed something.

mike; I have indicated locks on 119 ss 39 and 129 ss59. would I be getting that strong of a signal if I were pointing to 138 tr20?? can you tell me if l554 is the latest software?? thanks

somedishguy; thanks for your detailed reply. I have completed the setup and check switch tests. I`ll have to make a slight adjustment on my dish as I`m getting locks on only 119 and 129. how do I save this to the INSTALL SUMMARY SCREEN?? I havel554 software. is that the latest version?
