Some good news in there. I appreciate all of the work Scott. Although I do have to add that I am bummed about Dish's idea of MRV; slinging is a nice feature, but it is no MRV solution. I think Direct has them beat on this front.

As Scott pointed out, you could do better by just purchasing your own Sling unit and adding it into your setup. Now the only advantage is the new interface... I love channel logos and stealing Apple design ideas as much as anyone, but I don't think it will be worth the greenbacks...

I am with you, brother! This is the number one feature I would like to see added to the ViP DVRs. Hopefully Dish is already working on this... The current solution with backfeeding sd feeds and calling it "multiroom" is a previous generation method. To continue having the industry's best DVR...

MRV as digiblur describes it would be the ultimate for me. And it seems to be as simple (so to speak) as a software update for any of the ViP DVRs; they are all more than adequately equipped, hardware wise. But it is disheartening to hear digi describe it as a possibility in a "dream world."...
