I wouldn't have missed them forever, but I wanted to see them as they were released! Fantastic show.

DISH Hacked - Websites are BACK ONLINE!

Yep, I'm finally back in HBO. Don't have to use friend's login anymore. BTW I do not in any way consider this "stealing" as I was still paying for HBO I just couldn't access it, but I wasn't going to miss the last few episodes of The Last of Us!!!

    Dish Anywhere & Firestick issues

I use it every day and have seen no problems that you are speaking of. Sure sounds like a home network issue not a dish issue to me.

    Dish Anywhere & Firestick issues

The firesticks work great and I use them daily on various days with Dish Anywhere, but as HipKat points out only 1 can be used at a time. I had heard that this was a contractual issue, but is super limiting for a situation like yours. I really wish there could be at least 2 active at a time...

    Quarter 3, 2022 Report

That's the risk factors section. Very standard for every company. That's where you put everything that could possibly go wrong so the shareholders can't say "you never told me about..."

    Disney Networks Dispute Recitifed

Sure seems like Dish had to have been the one to blink here. I have to believe that it hurt Dish more than it did Disney. My solution for Saturday was to "borrow" someone else's login to watch football on the app. I don't feel even slightly bad about that because I'm already paying for that...

Discovery + added to Dish Network

You sure about that? So if we sign up for Discovery + through Dish we can only watch on Dish where as if we sign-up outside Dish we can watch on any device? Seems unlikely.

Too stupid to figure out record function

Just do the opposite of what you think you should do and it will behave how you want ;)

WatchESPN or ESPN+ access not working now with Dish account?

It all depends what you are trying to watch. Certain programs are only available with an ESPN+ subscription and certain things are available only with a linear subscription and finally certain things are available on both. You absolutely cannot watch everything on ESPN+ with your Dish...

    Hopper 3 Picture Hazey

But is it still hazy when you switch back and are your glasses clean? :) Kidding. Not seeing this at all. Specifically what are you comparing to? Are you on an HD channel on the H3? Are you sure? I'd expect there is a very slight improvement on OTA depending on how large of a set you're...

Greetings from Dish Team Summit Day Two!

We don't fully know what they wanted out of it, but we know what they got (from the 2011 10-K):

    Monthly bill took big jump

Sure. I have a mix. Joeys in some places and Firestick in others. Works for me today to limit my need for guest rooms, but I totally agree with your point. I believe that the issue comes down to how the contracts were written. I think back in the old contracts that initially involved the...

    Monthly bill took big jump

You can use the DishAnywhere app on FireTV (probably other devices, but that is what I use), but I believe it is limited to 1or 2 concurrent streams. I use it daily to watch TV in a room where I don't have a Joey/Hopper.

Hopper 3 TV picture small and compressed

You have the DVD player connected to the Hopper or connected to the TV? The TV right? Your TV could be "getting confused" not sure.

Standard General, Apollo close in on $9B deal for Tegna, sources say

The way these transactions work is that a "deal model" was presented to the buyers which was used to help determine the price they were willing to pay. This is essentially a multi-year P&L. That model has lots of assumptions built in. You can be sure that there is an assumption there on 1)...

Hopper 3 TV picture small and compressed

Since the power cycle of the TV fixes it, I don't think it is aspect ratio button. Does it happen when you are watching or is it that way when you turn it on? Sounds like a handshake issue between your TV and the Hopper. Is it connected directly or is there an AV receiver or something in...

    Hopper3 blacking out

Also, if you can't switch TVs. Did you try a different HDMI input on the TV?
  18. lakebum431

    Hopper3 blacking out

This may not be feasible but is there a way to swap the TVs instead of the Hopper/Joey (just for testing purposes)? I'm just trying to rule out possibilities. If you still have blacking out, then you have an issue between the TV and the Hopper as opposed to between the node and the Hopper. If...

DISH Fights for a Fair Deal, Tegna Prioritizes Greed above Consumers

No no no. Low numbers at the bottom is the only logical way to do it. Go up to get to a higher number. You're the one that must have it sorted wrong. :)

    Fire stick app

I use two different firesticks daily with the DishAnywhere app. Works quite well. Probably takes a little bit to get used to, but once you have it it is a breeze.

RSN's Continue to Fall - Dish drops AT&T Sportsnets

By the way MFN clauses exist in many industries not just this one.

RSN's Continue to Fall - Dish drops AT&T Sportsnets

Ha, OK. I can assure with 100% certainty that these clauses exist in the television distribution business. There is nothing monopolistic nor illegal about it. All they are saying is, if you give someone else a better deal, we want it too. It is actually anti-monopolistic.

RSN's Continue to Fall - Dish drops AT&T Sportsnets

I will start by saying that I have no direct knowledge of the ATT/Dish contract. However, it is EXTREMELY common in this industry for a MFN (Most Favored Nations) clause to exist. So, if ATT agrees to accept "some" money from Dish that is less than what others are paying them, then they can...

Hopper 3 becomes unusable when storage capacity reaches high 60%

That is not normal. My Hoppers constantly stay in the 75-90% full range.
