No, there's not much 4K yet on cable and none on the broadcast networks, but you can find lots of 4K programming on Netflix and Amazon Prime and many beautiful scenic travel logs in 4K on YouTube. You won't see any 4K on broadcast TV until they turn on ATSC 3.0.

I have a Sony 65 inch XBR TV connected to my Hopper 3 and all of the pictures look great, from 720P through 1080i and 1080P to 4K. I have had no complaints on the quality in the year that I've owned the TV. Netflix looks great through the Hopper. Larry

CBS owned KPIX and KBCW are both missing from Dish in the San Francisco Bay Area. I just rescheduled all of my recordings to OTA. Dish Guide data is still available for the OTA signals.

When the EHD is connected to your Hopper you will get a choice of the internal hard drive or the external hard drive when you choose "DVR" on your remote. The two drives are listed separately.

Must be something happening just in your area. At least the stations here in the San Francisco Bay Area are still transmitting the proper aspect ratio. We had a couple that were sending the wrong aspect ratio, but local viewers convinced them to change.
