    Anything new in H367?

Interesting... Not seeing that here (just tried it, works fine). Only time I ran into that was when I had the guide up and accidentally turned off my Hopper (post #22). Of course your Hopper Plus may be behaving differently to H367...

    Anything new in H367?

Here's a weird one I discovered by accident today: I had the guide up and was going to enter a channel to set a timer. I accidentally turned off the receiver (it was a weird accident). I turned it back on and it came up on the same channel it had been on (expected behavior), but the guide also...

    H366 is out

Got H366 yesterday...fast for my H3, as it sometimes takes weeks for it to update itself (I don't force it)...

Cox Media Group Removes Local Channels From DISH

Interesting... Cox sold KIRO 7 to Apollo Management Group, which may get sold yet again to Imagicomm Entertainment (an affiliate of INSP). Did some research and it wasn't difficult to find the info. Doesn't mean it'll show up on Dish again though...

I wish it would too, but I'm not holding my breath...

    H363 has arrived.

Like I said in the 362 thread, I'm still on 358 and I'm not forcing it. When it updates, it updates. 358 is working fine for me and my H3 is stable. I'm not into rocking the boat...

    362 is here

When 362 or 363 shows up on my receiver, that's when it shows up. My receiver is set to reboot at 4am everyday. I tried to force a reboot once and it didn't update, so I haven't tried it since. I'm still at 358 and it's working fine, so when it updates, it updates...

Man, that's like being a computer archeologist! :D Yes, I have 2 XP boxes in the business because they can run some stuff that Microsoft has made obsolete or eliminated (unfortunately), but I am impressed that you were able to find all those parts. 15 years ago helps in the easter egg hunt...

I have my H3 in the battery-backup side of a UPS and it's running 358 as of 8/17/23 when it self updated. I also keep a 4" A/V fan running on it continuously, and a RF temp monitor on top of it to keep track of it's external running temp. The UPS protects from power blinks (moderate to frequent...

How'd you find duplicates of the motherboard, CPU, RAM, PSU, etc? Or did you buy them at the time you bought the box? It's nearly impossible to find gear that vintage nowadays...

I too looked for it, about 7-8 years ago, but was never able to find it. Thanks for the info and link for zblist! I'll definitely take a look at it! I remember the name Vern Buerg - hope he had a good life.

Loved List.com! That was one fantastic tool for it's time. The ability to view the contents of binary files and filter them was amazing for it's day, and yep, used it as well up through Windows XP...

Yep, DOS was something I used way back in the day (1980s) and at least there were ways of recovering files and fixing the FAT. I tried what you suggested and yep, that's exactly what it did.

Physical media is my go-to for movies I know I'll want to watch again...consequently, I have quite a collection of BD media that I've built up over the past 20+ years (a lot are DVD, but a lot are Blu-ray also).

Yep, my receiver is working just fine and the last time I tried to force it to update, it didn't work and about a week later I checked and it had updated, so I just let it take care of it on its own... I have it set to do a reboot at 4am daily as I'm asleep and ain't watching nothing at that...

Cox Media Group Removes Local Channels From DISH

OTA isn't an option either, otherwise I would've put up an antenna years ago and avoided this locals dispute and two other prior ones. But as RTCDude said, there's not much other than news, weather and sports worth watching the locals for nowadays anyway...

    MPEG2 Western Arc shutoff

Results of my "third time's a charm" test. Not so charming... This time it only got to the SYNCOPY logo and froze-up. I reset my H3 and then went in and deleted it. Really bummed, as it looked great on my second attempt when it got to the chasing the drone through a corn field scene before it...

    MPEG2 Western Arc shutoff

It didn't cost anything the first or second time, as it's playing on the MGM+ premium channels and I wanted to see what it would look like on my new Sony Bravia in 4k UHD. The first time I tried to watch it, since I have 1gb internet, I thought I could watch while downloading. It froze at the...

    MPEG2 Western Arc shutoff

Ah, good point. So, no other source to check it from afterall... Either it'll play (when I try it again) or it'll lock-up and I'll note the point in the movie where it freezes for reporting purposes, reboot my H3 and delete the movie...
