    I was able to watch 4K college football just fine... But now when I switch to watch Olympics, I see them in 4K for a few seconds, my TV recognizes 4K format, and then a big Dish banner pops up saying my TV doesn’t support this format. All while I see the action just fine behind it. Any insight...

    But by doing that, you lose 6 days of PTAT. It’s a bug that has been present for a while. Dish says they’ll fix it “soon” :)

    Correct, but that’s not the NHL.TV app. So you’re missing out on a lot of HD feeds that way, can’t view any of the secondary cameras, etc.

    No - just like last season Dish Network will not be authorized. Which is strange - because Dish does link to MLB.TV if you buy Extra Innings.

    ...and I just noticed the Dish Center Ice price is $155... As a Canadien fan - I'll use my Discover card discount and get NHL.TV for $55 cheaper AND get the Canadiens in HD... Too bad Dish.

    It started last year. NHL Center Ice Activation to do it (here is my discussion with NHL.TV - it goes on to say DishNetwork chose not to.) I chatted with Dish but that got us nowhere.

    That’s a provider choice. DirectTV (and one other I can’t think of right now) chose to add that option last year, Dish did not.

    The app has a bug with that. The way around it is to DVR all games and then access it though the DVR tab. But the note above is correct - use your MLB.TV subscription online. There are FAR more games available that way - and the quality is MUCH better since you are going right to the source and...

    ...and the YES Network has RETURNED to Dish EI! Last night's game at Toronto was on the Extra Innings feed with YES Network. Guess it takes them a month or two to realize that every year :)

    Arghhh, I am so frustrated with the H3 timers situation

    After doing well with Yankees games lately, it didn't record tonight's game on MLB Network or on Extra Innings. Then I noticed it is not scheduled to record tomorrow's game on EI because it's "blacked out" in my area. And it is not scheduled to record any EI games on through the holiday weekend...

    Correct, which has nothing to do with this thread. I wouldn't have paid $170 if I have to watch many of my games on a service I can pay $100 for. And with Sling I pay zero for it since YES would be included.

    No, none of those are valid in this case. They stopped carrying YES for EI for some unknown reason. They never did admit or explain that.

    It never has been carried as a RSN - that's my point :) It was carried by MLB EI last year on Dish and does not appear to be this year.
