Ya you mean KA, it is used for spot beam locals and MPEG4 HD which is what all HD on DTV will be in the future (ie less than a year).

Get the slimline. the 3lnb won't give you HD very much longer (a year ish). You should be good in Calgary with the slimline.

The "0's" are likely spotbeams. You might get some low # as well, those might be spotbeams as well ... a spotbeam not meant directly for your area. The "n/a's" are transponders that DTV doesn't use (aren't licensed) on 110/119. The n/a on 103/99 are the only that aren't in use yet, but will...

I noticed on lynsat locals for AK and HI are on the 103 KA satellite. Do DTV subs in AK and HI use a normal slimline dish to receive locals or is there an alternative set up there. Just wondering.

Incorrect. NBC will televise Games 3 to 7 of NHL Stanley Cup and handful of playoff games only. Whatever cable partner will show the rest (well more of the rest).
