    2 DVRS and MRV?

That is correct. I have 2 HR20s and an H23. I can choose which of the HR20s I want to record to if I schedule from the H23.

    wireless ethernet adapter

I think he's talking about a wireless to Ethernet bridge such as the Linksys WET54G and again I recommend using HomePlug and saving yourself the headaches.

    wireless ethernet adapter

This is the reason I never recommend using wireless for connecting a receiver and instead recommend HomePlug. Wireless is a real PITA for this application.

New Receiver: H23 (UPDATE: Now with Pictures)

Get two HomePlug adapters. That will be the easiest solution.

Wireless Connectivity for DirecTV on Demand

Correct. All the 85Mbps ones all use the same INT5500 chipset, so they will all be compatible. The HomePlug 1.0 (14Mbps) ones will work as well (although at a lower speed).

Directv now sells Wireless Linksys adapters

Better off with two of the powerline adapters for $50.

    Does Directv use splitters?

The way the two systems work (DirecTV vs. Dish Network) is totally different. In a nutshell splitters will not work with DirecTV.

    HD DVR and Wireless

Powerline is a better and cheaper option.

HD DVR Receiver doesn't recognize 5lnb satellite dish. HELP?

This splitter will not work. You need to run two lines from the dish.

No, but Firehawk157 did, which is what preceeded those posts.

HR21 Problem with Powerline Adapter and Wireless Router for DTV On Demand

The previous posts were about the online scheduler, not VOD.

HR21 Problem with Powerline Adapter and Wireless Router for DTV On Demand

The online scheduler sends commands for your DVR to record a program via satellite.

    hd channels wont work

Is this on a new receiver that you just hooked up? When DirecTV sent me my first HR20, they forgot to include the B-Band Converters, which are needed to get the new HD channels. Once I got those and hooked them up, everything worked fine.

HR21 Problem with Powerline Adapter and Wireless Router for DTV On Demand

FYI, when you first connect the DVR to the Internet, it might take a few days before you get VOD access.

HR21 Problem with Powerline Adapter and Wireless Router for DTV On Demand

It says in the datasheet that it complies with HomePlug 1.0 (That's the 14Mbps standard). Chipmaker Intellon added some higher data rate modulation modes to get to 85Mbps. HomePlugAV 200Mbps devices on the other hand are not backwards compatible with the 85Mbps or 14Mbps devices.

HR21 Problem with Powerline Adapter and Wireless Router for DTV On Demand

The 85Mbps adapters that DirecTV sells are compatable with the 14Mbps XE102. They will only communicate at the 14Mbps speed.

HR21 Problem with Powerline Adapter and Wireless Router for DTV On Demand

Which HomePlug adapter doesn't the software see? The one connected to the router or just the one upstairs connected to the HR21?

HR21 Problem with Powerline Adapter and Wireless Router for DTV On Demand

Another thing to try is to plug the XE102 directly into the PC's Ethernet port (instead of the router) and run the software. If it still doesn't see the HomePlug adapter, you may have gotten a bad unit.

DIRECTV and TiVo to Launch New HD DIRECTV DVR with TiVo Service

The old TiVos were slower to respond sometimes like when you would set a program to record or set priorities in the Season Pass Manager. The dual live buffers were a huge advantage. You could channel surf during commercials and not worry about flipping back too late and missing some of your...

So I switched to AT&T Uverse TV..........

FYI, a pair of powerline-Ethernet adapters would work just fine for VOD (just like with D*). And one more thing. You will be getting Fios in Allen within the next year, so you will have that option as well.

PREWIRE (Yes I searched first, But none of the topics directly answered my question)

In your situation, where you only have two receivers and two lines running to each, it is possible to run line directly from the dish rather than to the central panel. In my house, I have runs to 7 locations, only 4 of which have a receiver currently. In order to connect all of them (or just...

    HR22 for New Install?

This must be something new since they went to all leased receivers? When I started service in Dec. 2005, I bought my HR10-250 from BB and then called D* to setup my account. They had no problem installing the DVR that I bought on my own along with 3 R10s that the installer brought with him.

    wireless is greatness

Another option is to buy DirecTV's networking kit directly from their website. It's a pair of HomePlug adapters and is much easier to setup than wireless.
