    1036 just automatically downloaded to my HS17. It's a slight improvement to what I had in 1001. Loving the user experience. Hoping the occasional unchecking of the 4k TV resolution is fixed!

    Yes. For the Samsung KS8000, UHD HDMI COLOR allows 4k for that HDMI port and using Picture Mode as Movie or Standard allows HDR. Something is wrong in the handshaking of HLG HDR between DirecTV and Samsung for this TV. The TV already supports HLG and HDR for YouTube, BD UHD player and USB files.

    Just got new UI on HS17 Genie 2: 0xfed. Love it! Makes great use of my 4k TV with nice fonts. Information is better organized. Some parts seem slower but may improve over time.

    Just got 0xfb7 without forcing anything on my C61Ks. Some of the secondary menus are cleaner with nice, thin fonts. One of my 4k TVs lost 4k ability until I went into Display...TV Resolutions and readded 4k. The other TV retained it. All primary menus, guide and list format looks the same.

    Thanks for offering information. I've been a DTV customer for 20 consecutive years. I've only called a couple times immediately after the 07/08 recession to get price discounts. Should I ask more frequently? I'm interested in discounts only, not free trials or more channels temporarily...
