    So my mother-in-law signed up with AT&T bundle (and DirecTV) and ordered it last week. Well the installer came out (thats another story) and said that only a DVR was ordered (me knowing her, ordered a DVR and standard box). Well i went on and let the guy do the job but call them later to see why...

    no they don't offer a trial period which is disappointing but i don't see why you would be disappointed with DirecTV. The installer will let you know what kind of situation you are in when he gets out there for the install. most likely, it won't be a hard one
