I just got a new Vizio E700i-b3 Tv and the receiver says sorry remote can not be programed at this time. Is there a way to get the remote working with this tv via code entry or something else?

I would think is is 6 of one and a half dozen of the other. if you have SWiM at home and use standard at the vacation home you will have to change antenna settings each time you move the dvr (not really a big deal at all). the SWiM should work fine at 200' and copper wire, but with the standard...

You will need a "flooded" direct bury cable, and at 200' probably copper for sure as I believe the max suggested run on SWiM is 150'. look on ebay for the cable, or flag down installer van,or call a retailer who may sell you some cable.

Malibu's and Fusions looked almost identical a couple of years ago, now the Fusion has the Malibu covered,big time, at least in looks. this coming from a diehard Chevy guy.

You should be fine with copper clad at 100'. tree mounting can be problematic as trees tend to move in the wind and grow. the lower on the tree the better. you can dial in your dish with the standard lnb, then switch to the SWiM after alignment is done. edit...as far as connectors, compression...

Must use a external power supply? never really cared for that. seems to be much improved from the 34.....nice cuz the 34 I have played with did not really impress me.

This is when a learning remote would be nice. my boy has a genie system and it seems fine, but the remote functions and layout are lacking IMO. hope you can figure it out, nopthing worse than having to use multiple remotes.

here in my neck of the woods D* is only installing the dishes that get 99,101 and 103.....did not think there was anything other then random locals on 119

the directv sats are in about the best location for the whole country, so there is no need for 2 arcs, dish on the other hand needs to arcs for HD because 129 is so low in the sky in the east.
