It doesn't even apply for Dish Commercial either. My apt. complex is serviced by Dish Commercial and since I have an N facing balcony I can't put a dish up. Not being able to get the offer with Dish Commercial is a ripoff as far as I'm concerned. I'm just going to stay with OTA.

I'm in Plano. I don't have a problem with Fox but I do with channel 5. It comes and goes whenever it pleases. The signal strength is 94. I just toss it up to another Motorola problem.

But can you use the Voom dish at 61.5 for the Voom channels? I have never had Dish either.

Well since they did not allow self installs, Voom or their installers will have to come to my home and collect the receiver. I will not go out of my way to ship it to them. They do not have my SS# or my CC#. I will not ship it to them.

I finally got through to a CSR. He "hit" my box and all of my Voom channels returned except for Discovery HD. He has no idea why we don't have it. He says it's coming in fine at their location and there is nothing else he can do. So I have everything back except for Discovery HD. My signal is at 94.

Sorry but I have to disagree. If the average customer thought Voom was so great why were the amount of disconnects so high? And why could they only get 40K+ subs? I had my problems with Voom and loudly voiced it here. But I did like Voom and I am sorry to see them go. I was one of the unlucky...

This happened to me also last night. Today I still only have OTA. No Voom channels. I think they are turning people off at random. Not all at once on the 30th like I was hoping.

I wonder if Voom is turning some boxes off at different times instead of doing them all at once. I don't know why they would do this but it seems to me that's what they are doing. What's weird is at this same time my screen went black, I heard an electronic tune that sounded like a partial song...

Yes. It was 95 before I disconnected the cable. But I'm afraid to reconnect it now. I guess it's only 2 days early. I would like to have had Voom for the next 2 days but at least I have an OTA tuner now.

Ok thanks. I unplugged the satellite cable hoping I could get to it before Voom sends a death hit to the box. I still have OTA and now I'm afraid to reconnect the cable. I did try most of the satellite channels and they were all black with no sound.

I just lost all Voom channels here at 11:20pm central. I still have OTA but all Voom channels are dead.

Has anyone else lost Voom as of tonight at 11:20pm central? I was watching HBO and then my picture went black. No sound either. I still have OTA but no Voom. I can't get thru to a CSR. I get a recording to call back later. Did they shut it all down early?

I'm going back to DirecTv but am either going to sell my HDTV or put it in storage. I'll have SD on my 32" SD TV and will enjoy it without bitching about the PQ every night. :D When HD finally grows up, then I'll be back.

Read what I wrote. I never said they needed to repair my roof. I'm in an apt. and the disk is attatched to the rail. And I don't care who the heck did the install. They were hired by Voom.

I agree with this too. Voom did not allow self installs so they will have to physically come to my door and get the receiver. And maybe if I have better things come up on that day I will reschedule a few times just like they did.

I haven't heard this but can you blame them? This drama has been going on for so long they probably got sick and tired of it.

I wonder if you will find installers that are willing to come by and pick up the boxes since they won't be paid. Installers won't be paid after today. At least that's what I was told.

Well I received a phone call about an hour ago from someone claiming to be Charlene at Voom. She advised me that Voom will be shutting down at the end of the month and I should be making plans for other service. Sounds pretty grim to me. I'm putting my HDTV in storage and hooking up the old SD...
