    OTA issues resolved but...

I don't believe it is backwards, the bowties should face the transmitters.

That should be vertical. That's UHF, are all of your locals broadcast as UHF for digital?

    Voom installed on 6/25...

If they all show up in your prgram guide then your mapped. Antennaweb is probably correct.

    They think were idiots

Old School. Are you sure they don't have the stealth aimed backwards?

    OTA stuck on ABC

I've had it happen, had to power down and back up. Unplug it.

Ignore seawaves, it's not like acting like an a$$ helps prove someone else is too. Good luck.

    They think were idiots

rkr is right about the antenna, if it works for one it should work for the others, in theory. Unfortunately that's not the real case. There are plenty of discussions on boards about the different sensitivities of the rcvrs. With 2 antennas (I am assuming you don't have a jointenna) you may be...

    They think were idiots

I think everyone understands, we've had to deal w/very incompetent (although sometimes nice) techs. I think the issue on the board is your attitude about it. Take a deep breath, we all know how frustrating it can be. I don't blame you for cancelling, until they can get this install tech...

    They think were idiots

the comment "wait a couple days for your signal to build" is pure idiocy. There is no such thing. What you wait for is the mapping to the PG and the OTA rx frequencies.

    They think were idiots

It may take up to 4 days or so to get the locals mapped to where you actually rx them. It took me a couple of days. You shouldn't need a service call.

OTA What is wrong with this picture?

In that case, do you use a diplexer that doesn't pass DC for one of the STB?

OTA What is wrong with this picture?

You don't want that antenna amp in the line. If he used the diplexer then the antenna should be getting its power from the STB.

    OTA locals to multiple televisions

If you use a splitter before the diplexer at the antenna, make sure it passes DC.

Wilt, VOOM & Installs Are Trying!

I didn't get DVI, Svideo, or composite. I called voom and they shipped the DVI.

    28" dishes shipping

I have been waiting for weeks for mine, and with the storms I lose the signal for over an hour now in the afternoon. And yes, the dish could have affected your OTA if it was nearby, depends upon a lot of things, but directional does not mean 0 coming from the back, just highly attenuated...

An amplifier will not help you with locals

This is not a personal attack so don't take it that way, but I would take what conjurer is saying about this with a grain of salt 'cause its way offbase. I will, however, say that you will get a better signal by going to a larger antenna than an antenna w/an amp. If you are having trouble...

conjuror, I don't know where you got your information, but its just plain wrong.

    HD Net on OTA

I thought some areas of the country had certain stations like HDNet et al. simulcast from the local tower as OTA. Not many, but a few.

OTA Antenna choices, I need help badly

Crazy, you need to tell us how far you are from the antenna's. as jimmy said, go to antennaweb.org and put in your address to see how scattered and distant your towers are. Then we can help. What is the environment like around your house, trees, mountains, buildings, etcc....?
