So many decisions...after almost 3 years I have finally put my motorized dish back up. The old fortec star I bought in 2005 is still kicking though. The only way I did 4:2:2 and HD then was with my HTPC. I don't have that pc setup anymore. Might have to piece on together as it looks like...

You would be surprised how many chipsets can lock DSS signals. Even DishNetworks chipsets can lock DSS signals. Broadcom just included in many of their off the shelf tuner chipsets.

I don't disagree... you would have to be a hard core heavy hitting installer to justify that cost though. Hope it comes with a good warranty too. I will have to keep an eye out for a meter that does Directv swim and dish 1000s for a little cheaper though.
