Question about planting poles for big dishes

Good infos here I could use when I raise one up this Summer, an 8 footer mesh that I finally scored after a long time looking. Too cold and too much snow to really take some pics, but, I am excited:):) What kind of cement/concrete mix should I buy from Home Depot for a concrete pad for say a...

    FTA Receivers and warranty

The green tint on the SSO is not an issue if you are using HDMI to your HDTV. No sense buying a HD receiver to view 480 pics with RGB/Composite connections, right? Two DVB tuners on the AZ Plus would be good but I would rather have an ATSC tuner for an all-in-one box, I have the SSO as my 2nd...

    FTA Receivers and warranty

Simple:D If your receiver is quite a distance from your home network hub, then, the Az Plus with wifi would be the unit you want to get. If your receiver can be hard wired to the hub, then the Az Ultra would be it. The SSO is a good choice in place of the Az Ultra, much cheaper, but no...

    6-Foot C/Ku Band Prime Focus Dish - Only $69.99!!!

@Brotherhood JFYI, I could not justify paying about $113.00 shipping via UPS to Canada, not counting the customs duties yet. Totally not worth it for me, I can get an 8 footer for less than that, but, has no room for it.

    6-Foot C/Ku Band Prime Focus Dish - Only $69.99!!!

I did too and CBands' h/w are indeed very hard to get up here. Just hope the shipping cost is not too prohibitive via UPS and it looks like I am going to get my arse cleaned up again by Mr. Brown if I buy one.

AZBox Vs CW-400HD, Help me flip the Coin.

Not yet, the CW 4000HD will only work with the 2 PCI cards mentioned for now. I've requested support to include DVB World's 2104D so that we have blindscan, we will see soon enough.

Best in your opinion true FTA receiver right now

@Avenger Arion is right on with his explanation, SCART connections are use in Europe. I believe Sadoun had stated that the newer version he is selling will have no SCART and ethernet port as well as being cheaper.

Best in your opinion true FTA receiver right now

Best in your opinion true FTA receiver right now

If you don't need DVB S2, 4:2:2 and HD, go with the Coolsat 5000/6000, they are cheap to buy and best mpeg2 box for FTA. For DVB S2 and HD w/o 4:2:2, the Sathawk/Salomend receiver gives the most bang for the buck.

    motor recommendations for 1.2?

I have both DG 380 and SG 9120B motors here, so far running well. Time will tell if they last longer than the still working SG 2100 from many years ago.

AZBox Vs CW-400HD, Help me flip the Coin.

I have to disagree, Mikey11.......the CW is much, much more than the KBox. You are not using it to it's full potential if just FTA, hack or non-hack. It can still function like a normal desktop computer, it will never be obsolete.

AZBox Vs CW-400HD, Help me flip the Coin.

CW 3000/4000HD is a wonderful multi-media box, with XBMC plugin just recently added makes it even better. As an FTA box, it has poor motor control and lack blindscanning capability if you are into hunting for feeds. Hopefully it gets better as their support is top notch. Azbox on the other...

    What should I use?

Be aware that your receiver do not blindscan at all, better look at another choice of receiver before going any farther.

Help with digipower sg2100 dish motor

Get an Ecoda 22KHz switch(es), connect output from DPP44 to 0KHz side and other cable from the new 97 to the 22KHz side then out to your receiver. You must enable or turn on 22KHz tone for Sat 97 on your Antenna setting.
