for a motorized setup, you really must have a plumb pole. if it was a fixed dish, you can get away with it by adjusting the as and el accordingly. I think your best bet is to try to bend the pole into position...

I have a 628, and its programmed to control my Frankenciever with the Fortec Ultra software loaded on it. It works well, and had all of the commands on their website.

Why are you transfering the software from one reciever to another? If you wanted to upload the newest original pansat firmware, I would do it from a computer.. If you wanted to upload a hack firmware.. then I suggest calling 888-825-2557 for help with that.. They will be sure to help you...

The thing that confuses me the most right now is the fact that the feedhorn mount is a metal pole that connects to the middle of the feedhorn... I dont see how signal can pass thru that?? I may "upgrade" that to a tri or quad pole mount

Its a big ole 36v motor with a worm gear on it.. I have seen them on other peoples threads... I am in the process of taking everything apart to clean it, replace old steel hardware, and repaint things.. I may disassemble the motor and refurb that too (new grease, paint, replace hardware)
