    Basic technical question

I’ve been wondering what happened to the repeaters. I recall something about getting rid of them or drastically reducing them. Is there a recent map showing them. The only I could find is quite old. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sirius Premier Upgrade = XM All Access?

Mine updated too. Now it shows “XM Music and Entertainment” under the Lifetime Plan as well as “Sirius Premier Upgrade” also under the Lifetime Plan. Based on your definitions above, I’m assuming the “Sirius Premier Upgrade” adds on SAT and streaming for the remaining channels? Sent from my...

I have the Sirius Premier Upgrade plan added onto my lifetime XM Select plan. Does all that together equal the XM All Access plan? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What exactly is the difference between Xtra channels and streaming-only channels? One difference is I haven’t found a way for Echo devices to play Xtra channels. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Successful Launch and deployment of SXM-7

I’ve lost track of what SiriusXM’s approach has been for satellites....elliptical orbit (old Sirius system) or geosynchronous (XM system). Which is this one? The blog posting said this was more powerful. Will we see improved coverage in the northern reaches of the US where trees are thick...

    Excessive Signal Loss

I recall reading not long ago that cell towers can cause interference. I think T-mobile was specifically called out. It was described as if it was a known problem. I have the same problem near our house. No trees, buildings or hills but the signal drops at the same intersection every time...

Actual technology used on SiriusXM radios

I recall from several years a leaked plan to greatly reduce the number of terrestrial XM transmitters. I’m curious if they ever did that. We live up in Seattle and I’ve always understood we are quite reliant on them given the buildings, trees, hills, and relatively low angle of the satellites...

    How to Get Pac-12 Channel

The new conference channels launch on Monday. I read they are Xtra channels. I’ve always been confused on what those channels are. Basically, I’m wondering how I get it in my 2016 Rav4. Is there a site that tells me this? I’ve tried looking into it before. All signs seem to point toward our...

SiriusXM Price Increase June 30, 2015

"...Sirius only needed a couple hundred repeaters, whereas XM was in the thousands at their peak..." I recall from severals years ago that there was some plan to drastically reduce the number of XM repeaters. Was that just rumor/talk or did they actually do that. I've always wondered what the...

Tech Spec Differences Between Sirius and XM (and new satellite)

I've lost track on what's going on with SiriusXM 2.0 and the transition referenced in this thread. The "leaked" document referenced in the earlier post talks about ground repeaters being phased out. There was talk in other threads about 1.0 radios becoming obsolete (or not). New channels were...
