Titanium Satellite Wanted Titanium Satellite ASC1 Dish Mover With Remote

Between "what's included" and "what's not included" there is no mention of the remote control. :(

Titanium Satellite ASC1 Well it did it again!

I approach this problem a little differently. The issue I call "Sleep Walking" where you find the dish is no longer pointed where it shows on the display by a short or long distance and often until it hits the limits on the dish. So you need to bring the dish back to the position shown on the...

OTHER Looking for Invacom QPF-031 C-120 flange version

Not anymore. The L.O. drifted so far I ended up tossing it and moving on to better things. :)

OTHER Looking for Invacom QPF-031 C-120 flange version

That is known as an Invacom QPF-031 LNB. (Quad Polar Flange) vs the QPH-031 (Quad Polar Horn)

    OTHER Recommendation for dish motor?

A couple of things to consider; What is the shaft size of the motor? Is it the same as the pole on your dish. Most fixed mount dishes have the mount low on the dish vs dishes that are meant to be motorized. So will your dish hang from the motor as intended or would you need the motor to be...

    OTHER discrepancy between lyngsat.com and ftalist.com ?

http://ftalistings.com/ I use this site for program info on FTA satellites. If you click on the channel logo it takes you to a channel specific page with more info. You can set your time zone and whether you want C-Band or Ku listings.

    OTHER GTMedia V7 SX2 - wifi?

The only use for the Wi-Fi is "Theft of Service" which is not discussed on this forum. Also why there is little information about those receivers here.

Edision Ventilation Idea For Edision and Other Receivers

I put those 3M "bump-ons" under my receivers too. Another thing that helps keep the heat down is to fine tune the dish so the receiver isn't processing a lot of FEC unnecessarily.

OTHER Proven Universal KU LNBF - Dual Output

Inverto Black Pro is the brand you want ;)

    OTHER X2 vs GTMedia V7Plus

I have one of those V7 Combos also. I haven't used it in a long time as I usually watch ATSC with the MIO Webif function on my PC. I like it better for recording than the freesat too.

    OTHER X2 vs GTMedia V7Plus

Now there's " a pig in a poke" ;) Lots of conflicting info there. If you look at the picture posted of the back of the unit you can see right away that can't be right. Wrong kind of connectors. Caveat Emptor!

    OTHER X2 vs GTMedia V7Plus

Before GTMedia they were known as Freesat. In those days they made a Combo V7 that had an ATSC tuner. Didn't sell very well and they stopped making that kind of STB. Nothing else I've heard of lately. Now-a-days we are using the Edision OS MIO and plugging a Hauppauge USB ATSC tuner in it. That...

    OTHER X2 Premium IV STB/receiver

I've never worked with one of those STBs, but if it's like most of them "out of range" is a USALS error report. When you want to work with a channel, transponder or satellite the STB wants to move the dish to that location first. If the satellite entry is not proper or too close to the horizon...

    OTHER What is a good reliable 3 x 4 Multi-Switch?

I use a Zinwell SAM-3402. But repeated failures suggest you have a grounding issue like a loose F fitting or more serious problems. I'd look it all over.

    OTHER Dual C-band Feedhorn

Maybe before you try and "reinvent the wheel" you should try and understand how it works to start with. ;)

OTHER Recommend a new FTA reciever

Well unfortunately for you one of the best features of a MIO 4K is a good reason to buy a new 4K TV ;) I guess they figure that if you are going to buy a 4K receiver you are not hooking it up to an old analogue TV set, so no need for those connections. ;) Time to take the plunge and upgrade...

    OTHER DVB-S2 Tuner card

I don't have any other codecs in use other than what comes with DVB Dream. As for signal levels, there is no calibration available. It is what it is.

    OTHER DVB-S2 Tuner card

I have it set up both ways on different PCs. One has two installs of DVB Dream and the Ku dish on one tuner and the CBand dish on the other. But on my main PC I use just one install of DVB Dream. You just need to arrange your transponder ini files correctly. The Ku sats are 1/10th degree...

OTHER Is RG-6 required for fta?

There are no splitters like you are thinking of. Each receiver location will need a separate cable connection to the LNB(F) on the dish.

OTHER Upgrading from LNBF to Orthomode feed

I'm curious as to what satellite has circular C-Band that you want to get? I see no circular C-Band from here and didn't think there was much at all unless you were in the east coast area. I have not seen an ortho like yours set for circular reception but I have seen a Bullseye II feed set up...

    OTHER 1 STB controlling 2 V-Boxes

That's one of the features of an ASC1. You can add the sat name and location to the displayed information. So if you are using the remote instead of DiSEqC you know what sat you are getting. :)

OTHER Upgrading from LNBF to Orthomode feed

OK I understand. Yes the STAB motor having the controller on board makes it a different setup if you want to use a multi-switch to connect additional receivers. I have a similar Ku dish situation here. Even though it uses a V-Box and linear actuator I had to put the V-Box out at the dish. What...

OTHER Upgrading from LNBF to Orthomode feed

Not sure I understand your question, but here is a diagram of my setup when I was using the diode steered splitter. The V-Box duo is two V-Boxes on a DiSEqC 1.0 switch.

OTHER Upgrading from LNBF to Orthomode feed

There is a way to share control of the dish mover with multiple receivers. It does have limitations though. I used a "diode steered power passing splitter" to share my two V-Boxes with three receivers. But only one receiver can be powered up at a time. Also as Primestar indicated, some STBs...
