Have you tried connecting the receiver to the motor directly? Bring the motor inside or take the receiver outside. I had very similar issues with a Stab HH90 after moving and discovered my coax from the receiver to the motor was just way too long.

Any guide for doing that, that you have found? Its not a high priority for me since most of the OTA channels I have are sending down EPG data with the broadcast, but I'm sure I could do better to get more than a few hours data that they send.

Makes sense. That would explain why if 22Khz dropped out suddenly why it would look like the dish was moving past the satellite but in reality it was aimed at it just fine but the signal fades away. In reality it is just the buffer draining.
