GEOSATpro GSP MicroHD channel editor Muzak PID issues

I am trying to add the Muzak / mood channels to my GEOSatpro MicroHD using Mediabox Editor Studio (MES). I'd done this a few years ago, but in the meantime, my original MicroHD died and I must have deleted my .udf files. What's happening is that although I am able to add the correct audio pid...

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

And a new diseqc switch solved the problem inexpensively. Thanks for all the assistance!

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

No, definitely not. I always pull the power cord out of the MicroHD before swapping coax. I've read that failure to cut power is a pretty surefire way to kill a switch.

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

I do not, but I see Titanium sells them. Placing order accordingly!

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

And with the Amiko switch bypassed, and running a single motorized dish and lnb setup, the Micro HD moves readily from 87 to 103 whether on horizontal or vertical transponders. This now suggests good coax, good receiver, and bad switch! Right?

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

Made a cable like yours, Titanium, and although ohmmeter test is good, no signal registers on the Micro HD from any LNB when it's inline. Voltage test, though, is a rock solid 13.33 volts on vertical and 17.76 on horizontal.

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

Not sure if this is related...drove the motor to 87W and set it on a blind scan. I have the LNB that's on the motorized dish in position 2 on the Amiko 8x1, so the setting on the MicroHD is Diseqc 1.0 Disabled, Diseqc 1.1 2Cascades Port 2. The only other satellite programmed in at the...

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

So, I ordered and received this: http://www.solidsignal.com/pview.asp?p=brcxm-03638 Thanks for the tip, FTA4PA! The cable that goes from the LNB port on the motor into the 8x1 switch tests good. The cable that goes from the receiver port on the motor into the house and into the motor tests...

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

And a check of the light on the motor shows it to be solid when the micro hd sends move commands. Titanium, is my box fixable, or should I just plan to replace it?

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

I don't have a way at the moment to see both the motor and the MicroHD at the same time, but I will see about getting a second person to observe. I did a quick built-in transponder scan on 97W (where I have a fixed dish), and I'm getting both horizontal and vertical TPs as expected.

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

Diseqc commands negative on the MicroHD. Positive on the Viewsat. MicroHD sitting here on my desk. I'm no electronics technician, but I can take ANYTHING apart. . Appears that the coax connection isn't quite solid...maybe it's not making a good connection inside? Hmmm....

Oh, I've gotten expert at entering 76.90W and 40.30N. :) And other numbers in there too just to see what happens. Nothin'. But I appreciate the thought!

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

I think I'm going to order one of those coax testers too...thanks for the heads-up! I do have many runs of coax between my attic / roof and basement, and into a few rooms as well. Seems like that tool will be well worth the cost at some point. But honestly, I'm thinking the Scientific...

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

'Ang about. I just remembered I had a Viewsat VS2000 in my garage for test mule purposes. It moves the motor just fine. It's not tuned to anything at the moment, but the motor responds to commands, and I'm concluding that the coax is good. MicroHD is possibly at end of life?

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

Coax does appear to be okay. I installed these runs about a year ago, and they're protected via underground conduit going into my basement where they run into an Amiko 8x1 switch. What is outside and necessarily exposed shows no sign of wear. I had a slightly questionable connection on my...

GEOSATpro MicroHD won't move motor - motor IS getting power

Hi. I hadn't done much with my setup for a couple of months. Got back to tinkering mode, and found that my MicroHD would NOT move the motor to any other bird. Tried the East-West buttons, tried Disecq 1.2 commands, tried everything I could think of on the setup menus. Nothing worked. Tested...
