You can't add anything to Digital Lite except the $2.99 "HD Sports" option which only gets you TSN in HD. Centre Ice can only be added to the Bronze package or above.

Good catch! I'm with essentials to be able to add the Sports pack to get TSN2 HD & SportsNet feeds -- was thinking about dropping down to the Lite package after the 09-10 hockey season but I guess I'll have to wait a year on having that option.
