    That's what I did, got an enclosure, reformatted the disk and moved on. So many projects, so little time. I bought a new OTA recorder for around $30 and put it away in case I ever leave Dish. The Orby box is long gone.

    Just got back from Best Buy in TC, and wasn't in the store 60 seconds and they credited my debit card for the $105.99 spent on the Orby DVR. If you bought one recently, you ought to give it a shot, the only question asked was if anything was wrong with it.

    Looking inside, I wonder if lifting the drive out would alter the ability to receive Orby signals if there were any? Only 2 HDD cables; 1 looks like 5V power, and the other, thicker cable is probably data in/out? Makes me wonder if both rx and DVR boards were the same, but the designated DVR box...
