I use xpBargains.com: Dell Coupons, computer deals, Amazon, HP . I would like to see other links. If I checked it earlier in the day I could of got a Toshiba A2 HD DVD player for $100 at BestBuy today.
I saw this on xpBargains with your Sears card you can get the Panasonic TH-50PX75U 50" Plasma for $1190. I'm real tempted but I don't have to have a new TV now. Maybe not.

1080p JVC DILA or Sony are about the same price as a 720 plasma. I like the JVC and Sony but it seems like everybody is pushing plasma. I'm going to wait another month or so longer. Does standard def. look worse on a plasma?
My 52" CRT RPTV has a pretty good HD picture in a darkened room. I was thinking about buying a new 50" 720 plasma or 50" Sony SXRD Rear Projection. Will spending about $2000 including a TV stand get me a lot better picture or should I wait untill my CRT RPTV dies?
I recently got a 32" Sharp Aquos LC-32D41. After turning down the factory over bright settings I got the picture pretty good. One setting the Sharp has is Black expansion. I'm not sure if I like it better with it on or off. If anyone has a Sharp with this setting or can comment I would like to...
I just bought a Sharp LC-32D41 from TigerDirect for $649 it's refurbished but you can't tell. picture is great. I didn't want to spend $900 for a new one that's not going to be used a lot in the bedroom and didn't want a no name $500 set.
Back light pics
The Ideal-Lume light is thinner than I thought, I used double face tape to stick it on the back of the TV. It gives a soft glow on the wall and ceiling. It has a built in shade you can rotate to adjust the light.
I see more and more 1080p TV's out now. Are programs being sent out by Dish network, Direct TV or off air good enough to see the improvement a 1080p set offers? It looks to me that there are going to be more 1080p sets coming out in the near future.
Scott,
If you can find out more about it that would be great. Was it Philps LCD's that have a blue light? I'm not sure. I would love a new TV but anything I can do to enhance mine would be good.
I know some TVs have a built in soft light behind the TV. Has anyone added a light behind their TV? What color light and what size bulb did you use. I read once about this somewhere it's supposed to make viewing easier on the eyes. I have a 52" RPTV.
I had a Mitsubishi once I was going to return because it did that. The salemans turned the TV on and then pulled the AC plug to do a reset. It fixed it. It's worth a try.
