    LCD OR DLP?

Where are all the 20 year old plasma sets to prove this? To me Plasma's make things look kinda cartoonish. My opin to the OP is that if I had to select one out of the best of each DLP, Plasma, LCD I'd take the DLP. Colors and size do it for me. I will say my recently purchased Sharp LC-32SB24U...

For $7000 MSRP I hope your happy. Or you could get multiply 70+ inch DLP's for each room. LOL

loss of sound in only 2 channels

If all the other channels are fine, the same as before, I doubt if it is the TV. Even though its on the same line as another properly functioning TV the line has to be split. That spliter is where I'd start.

Dlp tv popping sound when turned on

How did it go with the servicing? Thats the only problem with the DLP's its a TV with internal moving parts.

    Which HDTV is better ?

A good DLP should get you the most(size, PQ, features, etc) for the least price. With them being as thin as one foot or less now and much lighter then plasma, wall mounts should be doable even though I haven't seen them. And every few years simply screw in a new bulb and the TV is like new again.

How long has your dlp tv lamp lasted?

Over 4200 hours. For the last year I have turned the brightness from high to low. The manual says that will extend the life of the bulb with little change in experience.

DLP TV's price going down big time!

If that shoebox was the cost of a bulb I wouldn't have a concern but to replace a light engine out of pocket can get close to $1000 with labor.

DLP TV's price going down big time!

Not sure how the LED's last(brightness) but when a DLP bulb is changed you basicly get a brand new TV all over again. That was my main reason for getting a DLP(very bright by the way) the ability to get a new TV every 3 or so years for the price of a bulb. Although I do have concerns about have...

Rear Projection TVs a thing of the past?

Changing the bulb is easy with DLP's few mins. The bulbs use to be $250+ but now you can go on Amazon and get then for half that. And look a the bright side after you change the bulb it as if you have a brand new TV again. I got RCA DLP I was concerned about having a TV with internal moving...
