A friend of mine bought an antenna from Radio Shack. Don't know what the model number is but it's about 6 ft. long and around $60. It's channel 7-13 + UHF. He put it in his attic and pulls in stations 50+ miles away. Should work fine for the top seven on your list.

With QAM capability and the addition of a cable card could it not also be used as a set top box on cable? Or with a few modifications couldn't it be sold to cable companies as a set top box? Charlie wants to sell hardware, looks to me like this fits in there somewhere.

I'm using a Channel Master 3023 (80" long yagi) with a 7777 preamp. About $120 for both from Stark. I pull in 3 stations from 60 miles in good shape. They are all running low power at the present. I think I could easily eliminate the preamp if they were on high power.
