    Incentive Auction Discussion

FM (and VHF) could it be used for the "internet of things" devices like stoves, alarms etc? They don't require much bandwidth. Also saying since you can now stream FM stations online on your smart phone and the fact that OTA is going away for streaming, cable, satellite services.

What's next for the cell companies. FM 88-108 frequency next. I think the cell companies got plenty of frequency already. They don't need to hijack more TV spectrum.

I hope ATSC 3.0 can handle VHF-Low better than 1.0 can?

Flash cutting from analog to 5 digital channels? oh boy....

The main reason why I don't like sub channels. 480i crap. I have a 1080p TV and 480i looks like crap.

    DTV signal boost after Feb?

Last Wednesday the reception went down the crapper and is still bad. I can no longer receive 2, 9 and 11 I can barely get. 7 keeps breaking up, 4 and 5 are yellow signal. I can get religious garbage from NJ 15 miles away solid green stronger but the NY stations that are only 5 miles away are...

    DTV signal boost after Feb?

I hope they boost the power of the New York stations come February. Although I can get stations like 9 and 11 which I could not get a couple of months ago I can still only get at most 4 out of 5 bars. Most of the time it is 3 yellow bars and then I get dropouts all the time.

    Digital subchannels

Also a lot of the sub channels are a waste. Except for 4 and 7 having a weather channel. 7.2 sub channel is mostly infomercials. Almost every time I put it on they have a stupid infomercial on.

New York City Digital Over the Air reception stinks.

What really peeves me is that I looked at the FCC map and that stupid channel 29 is suppose to be located in northern NJ and the map does not even cover Brooklyn or Manhattan. I can't even pick up the analog version yet the digital signal I get it so strong, around 85 strength yet channel 13...

    Digital subchannels

I was watching WNBC 4 the other day Sunday as best as I can get it with a yellow single strength, if I just breath on the antenna it will pixelate and break up and I am right in the city and even though it has 2 or 3 sub channels it looked great at 1080i.

New York City Digital Over the Air reception stinks.

I guess they are doing work because yesterday I was able to pull in channel 4 better but if I just breath on the antenna I will get pixelated boxes.

TV Fool and antennaweb are ok... but why not go directly to the source....

They are not that accurate. It says on antennaweb that I would need a roof antenna to pull in WABC 7 yet I can pull in that station the easiest and the hardest is 2, 4, 5, 9 and 11. Forget about 13 that I get crap.

New York City Digital Over the Air reception stinks.

I can't believe how bad it is. I tried two antenna's. First a Terk antenna and then the radio shack UFO antenna and all I can pull in clear is WABC 7 (green to yellow), WNJU 47 (solid green) and a stupid waste religious garbage WFME 29 (solid green) which I pull in the strongest and it is...

FCC Pertaining to PSIP and V-Chip Technology

Plus Dish Networks rating system is pathetic at best. The worse of the worse. All they use is movie ratings and NR/AO ratings and do a terrible job at it. Cable and DirecTV actually use the TV Ratings so the V-Chip thing would work. When is Dish going to get out of the 90's and actually...
